Vehicle Detail

1969 Plymouth Fury II NC State Patrol Replica Car was used for a movie. Rare 383-2B Engine Nicely Optioned Fury Runs and Drives Great. RELIST SERIOUS BIDDERS ONLY LESS THAN 5 FEEDBACK EMAIL ME FIRST OR BID WILL BE CANCELLED Welcome to maclassiccars.com, you are looking at a Rare 1969 Plymouth Fury with only 82k original miles. This car was purchased here in Charlotte, NC from it's original owner for a movie filmed in NC. This Fury was painted two tone ( Black/Silver ) to replicate an old NC State Patrol Car. This particular car was used for a movie in 2008 here in the Charlotte, NC area. The movie is out now ( " Blood done sign my name " ), you can see the car in the movie trailer. Note that on the fender tag, it has the code Y39 ( Special Order Car ), it could be a Police Package Car, I'm not sure. I also found the build sheet under the rear seat. It shows printed on the bottom ( State of North Carolina ). Also found this article : The last way to ID a police car gets more complicated. Not all agencies ordered a police package car. Some ordered a normal car then added all the cop options to it. Two agencies known for this were the Washington State Patrol and the North Carolina Highway Patrol. Will give you an example, since we own a 1972 Dodge Polara that served with the WSP. Our 72 is not a police package car, but it is a real police car. How do we know this? Couple of things to look for. It has a factory spotlight and certified speedo (verified by the fender tag and the build sheet, which is a piece of paper that went with the car and shows every option available on the car). It is also a special ordered car, with Y39 on the fender tag and a second "special order" tag next to the fender tag. This does not mean it was definitely a police by car itself, but it is a good sign. It also has the roof reinforcement, extra welds on the body, etc, etc. It can be hard to spot these cars, but they are as much a police car as one with an "A38" on the fender tag or a K as the second digit of the VIN. The car starts, runs and drives well. It appears to be 90% rust free, a solid southern car. An easy restoration for somebody. I drove the car around for +- 50 miles with no issues, now I recommend having the car towed, especially for a long distance. The fluids were checked and look good, also surprisingly I found no leaks under after driving it !!! Own a piece of history at NO RESERVE, car will sell....
