Vehicle Detail

Hi, This rust free AZ car has been my dependable daily driver for a few years now. I collect older cars and did not realize this as being collectible now, so I will pass it on to one of you guys that can appreciate it. I believe this car mileage is actual because it sat in my old lady neighbors yard for many years. It runs perfectly, using no oil and cylinder compression runs about 125psi each. The tranny shifts well and the clutch was replaced about a year ago. It handles very well with no vibration, shimmy or whines. The tires are good and you can drive it cross country if you like. The overall condition is fair after baking in the Arizona sun for so long. It is clean and and presentable and an easy restoration while you drive it. Good glass and chrome. Perfect body with only two or three grocery cart dings. It needs paint, but I have touched up the cracks with blue where the prior white paint was coming through - so it looks ok if you do not inspect it too closely. It needs carpet but is useable as is. The vinyl seats are cracked with seat covers over them. The door panels are useable, but have some minor sun cracking at the tops and are covered with vinyl tape. The head liner is good and the dash has a custom fit cover that saved it, although it still has a few splits that can be repaired. I made some side panels for it in the hatch area but they still need a vinyl lamination. The exterior lights work fine and the only thing that needs attention is an electrical problem to the dash lights, temperature and fuel gauges. All else works great except the original radio was removed at some point - no A/C. The car has a few sporty aftermarket add ons. It has heavy black metal louvers on the rear hatch. The shifter is also a fancy Hurst style and the air cleaner is now high capacity racing style. So its a good car and doesn't look bad if you want it for your high school kid, but it is not a show car. Feel free to shoot me any questions and I can assist with shipping for you if needed. The car is also listed locally. Thanks for looking. Added on 4/30/09 - I will adjust the buy it now price down in $100 increments frequently in order to encourage the first bid which ends the Buy it Now. There are currently 26 people watching this car according to my seller information for you all waiting to the last minute for the bid.On May-01-10 at 18:31:14 PDT, seller added the following information: A few people have asked about the milk crate behind the drivers seat. Part of the track the seat rests on is missing. So the milk crate keeps the seat from sliding back and forth. I have never gone to the junkyard to get another mechanism, but it seems a fairly standard part to obtain. Another question has been how long can the car stay here.? If you want to leave it here a month or so before pick up that is fine with me.On May-02-10 at 19:46:13 PDT, seller added the following information: Another good question has been about the engine type and timing belt. This car has the 20R engine with a timing chain and not a belt that wears out as in the newer 22R engines now. Fifty people are now watching this car according to my seller counter. On May-03-10 at 09:16:45 PDT, seller added the following information: Hi there have been questions about the car history and running a carfax. Such a report will probably yeild little mechanic shop information. Nevertheless, I purchased the car from my neighbor named Duncan a few years back. He drove it as a pizza delivery car for a few years at Pizza Hut with the sign on top. He aquired it from the Goodwill car auction after donation. Before that, it sat in the old ladies yard down the street unused for many years and we recognized it at the car auction. Last summer, I completed a 900 mile trip and 8000 feet into the mountains on switch back roads playing rally driver. It handles well and cruises at 75 just fine. So, that is why I am confident of its performance for a cross country if needed.
