I have for sale a real MUSCLE CAR or to describe it better a ROAD ROACKET. This 1971 Chevelle Super Sport has all the good stuff! It’s a rock solid southern car with no rust issues that I can find. Its powered by a strong 454 engine, connected with a Turbo 400 automatic transmission and applied with a 12 bolt rear-end. The paint is outstanding and the right color “red”. The interior on a Muscle Car has to be black with bucket seats and a consol and this car fits the bill. The car is highly optioned, air conditioning, power steering, power disc brakes and Super Sport package.. I do have the factory protecta-plate showing where the car was sold here in east Tennessee. I will be happy to show you the car and let you take a test drive. VIN: 136371R180612 MIAAGE: 126664 but everything is new or rebuilt. TITLE: Clear Tennessee title in hand. HISTORY: Car was sold in east Tennessee, last owner was a local contractor that got in trouble during the economic slow down. He put the car up for collateral and lost it to the bank. We bought it from the bank. IS THIS A REAL SUPER SPORT 454 CAR? Past owner says it is and it looks right to me, but I’m sure not an expert on the numbers and details. Come look and decide for yourself. ANY RUST PROBLEMS: I’m a car restorer and have inspected the car and find no apparent rust problem. ANY ACCIDENT DAMAGE? I have inspected the car and find no apparent accident damage. The frame is straight and I see no patched up or shimmed out areas that don’t look normal. IS THIS A SHOW CAR QUALITY: I say yes, I would be proud to enter it in any of the shows I go to. Its not one of those trailer queens that is so perfect you roll it out of the trailer and don’t want the engine to run and discolor the engine paint. Its just a nice car that looks great, drives great and runs like a scalded dog. PAINT: Nice red paint, very shinny and slick with no dents or dings. I can find only one tiny chip at the edge of the drivers door handle that has been touched up with matching paint. The car is straight to look down the sides. PANEL FIT: Good panel fit, but about the way the they came from the factory. The margins from the factory varied! The doors, hood a and trunk close good. GLASS: New windshield, and the other glass is good. The windows roll up and down good. CHROME AND STAINLESS: Bumpers look like new, emblems look like new, door handles look like new, light houses great (lens perfect), a few pits in the corners of the vinyl top bottom trim. VINYL TOP: Looks new with no rust bubbles under it. ENGINE: Past owner said it was the original 454 that had been rebuilt. It runs very strong and has no leaks, no blue smoke and no unwanted noises. The intake is not original, it’s a Edelbrock, the starter is a after market high torque. TRANSMISSION: Turbo 400 that shifts perfect. This is a 3 speed automatic that was used on high horse power engines. WHEELS: Nice American Racing 15 inch wheels with good radial tires. INTERIOR: Like new, the only thing I can see that is not perfect is a few pits in the original consol, the sail panels and rear window cover are wavy. The headliner is new, seat covers new, carpet new, door panels new and dash panel new. RADIO: Original radio that does not work. AIR CONDITIONING: Comes on and blow, but is not cold enough, needs some charge. LIGHTS: All the lights work, the only ones that don’t is the right inside turn signal indicator and the interior dome light. HORN WORKS! SPEEDOMETER WORKS! GAS GAUGE WORKS! EXHAUST SYSTEM: Looks new, it’s a dual system with aluminized pipes and Flow Master Mufflers. The car sounds like a Muscle Car should, it has the deep loud sound. REAR-END: 12 bolt rear that has no whine or growls. I did not check the ratio. UNDERSIDE OF CAR: No rust issues, all the panels look original. Not detailed for show, its no pretty, but no rust issues and mounts are in place. DRIVING: This car drives great, it drives as good as the day it came from Chevrolet. BRAKES: The car stops as it should. It has disc in the front and drum in the rear, it has the dual system and is power assisted. WILL THIS CAR DRIVE BACK TO YOUR HOME: I think it would drive anywhere, but who knows for sure. WHAT IS MY BOTTOM PRICE? I will be asking $25,600 at car shows and let people bargain me down to $23,600. That’s the game we play, but I don’t want to play it with a 100 people on the internet. My lowest price is $23,600, sorry, but I’m old and don’t have the time to play that game. This car would have sold for $15,000 more 3 years ago and would cost double my price to get restored.
