I recently purchased this car from a local gentleman that bought it here on ebay. He shipped it from Utah to the Kansas City area only to find that the car was misrepresented and had a few things that needed attention before it would be driveable. Not having the capability to do the work needed, the car sat for the few years undriven. I brought it home and repaired everything that it needed to bring it back to be a roadworthy car that someone could enjoy. It is a 34 year old British car so give it some thought before you want to come and drive it to wherever you are. VEHICLE CONDITION BODY: This car was repainted some years ago and it is of driver quality, not a concous show car. It was originally brown, now red. The only spot of rust I found on the car is located on the wheel lip in front of the left rear tire. I have show a pic of this. There is a scratch and a dimple in that same rear quarter panel. NO rust in the floor pans, rockers, or the frame of this car. It is solid. The rear bumper has a dimple in the center section. A couple scratches here or there. MECHANICAL: New weber carb with a manual choke. New tie rod ends were installed so the only mechanical issue this car has that will need attention is that it needs a front end alignment. The transmissions shift correctly with good synchronizers. There is a little chirp in first gear for each revolution. I repaired the rear axle bearing that was bad. New rear brake shoes and wheel cylinders. New brake master cylinder. All lights and gauges work. Tires match and all have good tread. New rear muffler. It also has a powder coated valve cover. INTERIOR: The seats are in good shape with the exception of one small 1/2" tear in the drivers seat and some cat claw marks on both seat backs. Carpet is decent. Door panels are in good shape. Dash wood is nice, dash pads are good. TOP: The date stamp on the top is 1991. You can repair the rear two side window and it will be a decent top or you may want to just replace it altogether. The remainder of the balance is due within 7 days of the auction end and is payable in the form of a cashiers check, USPS money order, or cash in person when the car is picked up (provided the car is picked up within the 7 day time frame from auction end). If you are picking up the car in person, cash in person is the required form of payment. Shipping: This is your responsibility. I will help with the loading of the car. Please bring your own ramps for your trailer, tie downs, winch, etc. as none will be provided. If you are arranging shipping with a transport company, please be sure to tell them that all pickup arrangements must be made 24 hours in advance and the car must be picked up before 7 PM. I live on a winding country road and I don't want any loading on it after dark. Pickup of car: This must be done within 15 days of the auction end, unless prior arrangements have been made and I agree to them. Failure to pick up the car within this time frame will result in storage fees of $20 per day that must be paid before the car is released.
