If you’ve been wanting a vehicle that can go just about anywhere (4X4), haul seven people comfortably (3rd row, 7 seat belts, dual a/c and heat, Limited options) and want up to 20 MPG on the highway (fuel sipping 7.3L turbo diesel engine) then this might be the vehicle for you. It’s my 2-Owner Excursion 4X4Turbo Diesel, read on for a full description. Mechanically this truck is just about as good as you get. Its what every Ford fanatic wants the 7.3L Powerstroke Diesel. This one in particular was very well maintained and it shows when you take one look at it. Starts up with no smoke or blow by. Oil, transmission oil, coolant all look very clean and to have been changed regularly. Has two strong Motorcraft batteries. Very good power and smooth shifting transmission. No aftermarket performance parts on this one, all original. Drives very straight and nice down the interstate I just drove it home 100 miles and it performed beautifully. The tires are all matching all terrains with 90% or better tread. The undercarriage is dry and clean without unusual rust. This truck needs absolutely nothing mechanically. Cosmetically this Excursion is well above average. I’m a very picky guy and I can honestly say this truck is practically flawless cosmetically. Paint looks to be original and all the door panels and hood line up perfect. No door sag or rust. Not even a door ding on this truck. If you want to get the magnifying glass out there are a few very tiny scratches here and there and a few stone chips on the hood and a few imperfections on the aluminum wheels but that’s it. Bumpers are clean and straight, all glass is good, I found three tiny rock chips in the windshield that look to have been filled at one time. The interior is the same way, very nice for the age and mileage. Seats, carpets, headliner and door panels are nice without wear out or major damage. Clean carpets and very good smell inside, definitely not a smokers truck. All power options are working well, heat and a/c are working, spare tire and cover are intact. I also have both sets of keys and remotes and the factory owners manual to go with. Any Ford fanatic would be proud to have this truck sitting in their driveway. Here is an opportunity to own a piece of Ford’s history that are getting harder and harder to find in this condition and remember this is one of the last year that these trucks were ever produced with the 7.3 motor.
