Vehicle Detail
Hello, up for auction I have a 1969 Dodge D200 2wd that is my daily driver, I travel 21 miles each way to work 5 days a week. With that being said I would not be afraid to drive this truck accross country. This truck has it's original 383 B engine and it's original 727 torqueflight transmission. It also came equipped with power brakes and power assist steering. I will start out by telling you what I have done to the truck since I purchased it about a year ago. First I installed a set of bucket seats out of a 1970 dodge power wagon, the passenger seat has no tears and looks good and the console looks good as well, the drivers seat is taped up but I believe the foam is OK your call. I also installed a sony cd player in it with 4 speakers w/remote. The dash is in great shape, all of the gauges work with the exception of the fuel gauge (it needs a new sender in the tank). This truck had 3 fuel tanks but I removed the 2 saddle tanks as they leaked. I installed the "Ultra" aluminum wheels with a good set of studable tires without the studs. All of the lights function properly on the truck. Under the hood I installed some chrome Mopar valve covers and a chrome air cleaner. I also installed an Edlebrock TM6 (tarantula intake manifold) with a new Holly 750 double pumper with vaccum secondaries. I also installed a window washer resevoir and pump out of a 1977 dodge truck with a push button on the dash and it works great. The original plunger is still mounted on the floor. I also installed new gas shocks all the way around. It has a 5" monster tach mounted under the dash. This truck also came with an optional headliner that is in great shape, I have never owned one that had this headliner but I seen one other one on ebay. This engine might use a quart of oil in 3000 miles, the reason I say might is because it depends how you drive it. I have had to add oil before and I have also went 3000 miles without having to add any. Now I will tell you everything that I know the truck needs or does not function properly. I have been manually shifting through the gears as the kickdown is not functioning properly, I believe the kickdown band needs to be adjusted up as all of the original kickdown linkage is there and I have tryed to adjust it. When you get on the gas it shifts really firm between 1st & 2nd shifting it manually, between 2nd &3rd it slips a little when you shift it manually under hard accelleration. It will shift by itself if you leave it in drive but it shifts to quick and I know this takes out the tranny so I manually do it. The engine has great oil pressure and I don't believe there are any issues. The power assist works really well to the left but not so great to the right, all the trucks I have owned before have had this same characteristic. The bed had a pretty good dent in it right behind the drivers side door, I used a plasma cutter and cut a 8"x8" square on the inside of the bed to pound it out most of the way. I kept the piece I cut out just never got around to welding it back in. See pic's. Now lets talk about rust the floors have rust and need to be replaced ( they have both been patched but not very good) the doors still shut fairly well. There is rust under both of the tail and back up lights about 5" up from the bottom will need to be replaced, the picture's should be able to show everything. The original odometer had about 80,000 original miles on it when it broke, I installed one out of a 1970 that had 60,000 on it and it now reads 63,000 so I believe this truck has about 83,000 original miles. I have the original odometer, I am the 3rd owner and I have a clear title, My feedback is 100% and please ask questions, thanks and good luck!!! It does have dual exhaust that exits after the rear wheels. I would like a$200 dollar non-refundable deposit to my paypal account at auctions end. The remaining amount must be paid in 7 days either in person or via paypal. I will store the truck outside for up to 30 days as long as it is paid in full. I have set a reserve on this auction and I believe it is more then fair, please don't bid if you can not pay. Thanks again I forgot to mention that the truck does have electronic ignition with a mopar performance orange electronic control unit installed under the dash.On Apr-21-10 at 04:56:07 PDT, seller added the following information: Above I stated that with the power assist it turned easier to the left and harder to the right well I had my right and left mixed up it actually turns better to the right and a little harder to the left. I also installed a new starter and a 3 year free replacement battery from walmart.
