Vehicle Detail
You are looking at a bone stock 1994 Toyota Land Cruiser with 179k miles and NO RESERVE! I may take a motorcycle on trade (up, down or even), prefer a Dual Sport style bike but, will consider others. Please see the vehicle history report at the end of the ad for full details on ownership, etc. For a fantastic amount of quality informaiton on these vehicles, please check out www.IH8MUD.com. The good and bad details as follows: INTERIOR: White w/ gray leather interior, as the picture shows, the drivers side seat is worn but, it is not torn. I believe if the leather is cleaned, then restained gray, it would look very nice. By the way, eBay automatically loaded a driver's side power seat - my LC does not have a power seat. The dash, door panels (driver's side door panel does have a small crack in it), carpet, head liner, glass, rear seats and third row of seats are all in either good to very good condition. The LC has the set of third row seats which I have but, are currently not installed. The original owner's manuals are included (not service manuals) and two keys. EXTERIOR: Please remember, this is a 17 year old truck with 179k miles on it. The truck had been hit on the passenger rear quarter panel and has been fixed and looks very good. There is a small (3"- 4") scratch on the same quarter panel (I tried taking a picture and it won't show), the hood has about a 2' long scratch running across the front of the hood and, to be candid, was unprofessionally touched up. Personally, I think it would be good to paint the center of the hood matte black to provide sun glare relief (much like the Land Rovers and other trucks in Australia / Africa do). The driver's side rear fender flare has a 2" - 3" scratch that was touched up as well. The front bumper has a couple creases in the top chrome part and you cannot see them in the picture. These creases and the 2' scratch on the hood appear to be done by a prior installed grille guard which I removed and ditched. There are other miscellaneous small spots here and there but, nothing major at all. The OEM wheels are straight but in fair cosmetic condition. Matching Michelin LTX (265/70/16) are in fair to good condition, the passenger rear has a gouge in it but, not enough to damage it or loose air. A Class III hitch is installed with wiring harness. ELECTRICAL ITEMS: All electric items work with the exception of the power windows - they work but, like the old saying goes, they all do it. They work slower in very cold weather and average in normal weather. When I say all electrical items, I am referring to the power antenna, power sunroof (both tilt and slide feature work fine), AM-FM Cassettte / CD (factory speakers work but do not sound good), power door locks, central key locking system, cruise control, power mirrors, windshield wipers, rear defroster / wiper, all lights (both outside and inside), whoops...the interior over head lights work but, not when the doors open...have to use the switch on the light and the four pin trailer towing plug. The truck has a "Primal Security System" that to be candid, I do not know if it works or not. I have the original manual and two controllers....I just never messed with it because I have no use for a security system. MECHANICAL: First, the good...the LC runs, shifts , drives very nice, tracks straight and true and is good and tight. A testimony to the quality of a Land Cruiser is how a vehicle with 179k on it is as tight as this one is, fires right up and handles as well as it does. I do NOT have any of the original owner's service history and I checked with the Toyota dealer with no success. To my knowledge, the head gasket has never been replaced and the engine bay is very clean and dry. This LC does NOT have lockers. Now the bad...the "check engine light" is on and per the mechanic it is EGR related. The engine is stock with all EGR systems in place. Depending upon the laws in your area, these systems can be removed / altered (see www.IH8MUD.com for full details). The front axle (not the differential) needs a rebuild job. Parts, as I understand it, are about $300 and if you can do the job yourself, will save about $700 from having a dealer do it. A Toyota Factory Service Manual (for sale on eBay for $95) shows exactly how to do it as does the FAQ section of www.IH8MUD.com. You now know what I know about my Land Cruiser. I have set a realistic starting bid of $3,500.00 with no reserve - mainly due to the two (or one if you disable the EGR) mechanical issues. I will help in any way I can if you need to ship this vehicle. I require a $500.00 PayPal deposit within 48 hours of the auction end with the remaining to be paid within seven days of the end of the auction. Please notice my 100% feedback and I fully intend to keep it that way. There is a slight chance I may have missed something but, I truly do not know what it may be. I would really like to have you give me a call if you are seriously interested so we can talk one-on-one about the truck. I can be reached at 765-469-1730 but, may have to return the call if I am at work. Final disclaimer, this Land Cruiser is sold "As Is" with no warranty either represented or implied Thanks for looking, please contact me with any questions and GOOD LUCK in your bidding!
