Vehicle Detail

You are bidding on a 1971 Truimph Stag. I won this car in a raffle at a local car show in Southeast Kansas. Make no mistake, this Stag is being sold at " NO RESERVE". Do not bid on this car unless you really want it and can transport it to your house. The car does start and can be driven but some of the oil leaks need to be fix before driving it for long drives. As I am not a mechanic (and no extra money), I will try to list everything that I have noticed that needs to be worked on. But there maybe other things that I do not know about. There is no warranty on this Stag and is being sold "as is". Engine= Buick V6 2 barrel; idles a little rough but smoothes out with slight RPM increase; slight oil leak at oil pan area. Transmission = TH 350; shifts hard into drive and reverse; weeps some fluid; missing inspection cover. Rear end = Pinion oil seal leaks. Power Steering rack and pinion cylinder = leaks Brakes = pull to left when applied strong RF & LR Shocks = leak Paint = has been repainted once but looks like poor paint prep ( see picture of front nose where paint blew off at car wash from previous owner. Also, small paint bubble on top of trunk lid.) Convertible top = poor; two tears and some holes. Drivers Seat = poor; some tearing; Passenger Seat & Back Seat; fair but some stains and wear. Door Panels = poor; backer board is breaking down Windshield = good but missing bottom chrome trim clip. Speedo & Tach = not working; shows 47,093 miles; both may not be working because of engine and trans swap. Radio = light is on but no sound (British Leyland brand) Wiper blades = work but missing mount for drivers side wiper. Fuel Gauge = don't know if works but car is running on fuel cell (see pic of trunk) Oil pressure, water temperature, and volt meter = work Tires = Good; 80% No hard top Wire wheels = good No jack but have wire wheel nut wrench to remove wheels. All chrome in general = fair to very good Body sheet metal = Good; some nicks/ chips and door dings. No dents Wheel wells, fenders, doors, and floor pans appear to be rust free Hood scoop = 2 hair line craks; Driver's side is about 1 3/4" ( see pic); Passenger side is about 3/4" Bumpers = both have some scratching and very small dings. Driver's side rubber bumper strip mount has a crack. New battery. New door seals. I think that this Stag is too nice of a car to be a "parts car". With some work, this car could be a fun weekend car. Or if you have a good Stag engine and trans, you could convert it back to a true Stag car. If you have any questions, please call me before you bid. My number is 620-784-9982 or 620-717-8066. Again, this is a "NO RESERVE" sale. Do not bid on this car unless you really want it and can transport it to your house. If you win the bid and fail to pay, you will be reported. Winning bidder will pay full price within 7 days. The Stag is to be removed from my property within 2 weeks of receiving full payment. Good luck bidding on your First or Next Stag.
