Vehicle Detail

Selling my 1987 Toyota Landcruiser FJ60. Has the inline 6cyl engine paired with it's 5 Speed manual transmission Interior is in almost flawless condition. One small tear in the rear bench seat (by where the feet rest) and another on the driver side front seat next to the recliner lever - about an inch long. Headliner is like new, does not droop, as is most of the interior. Carpet is not worn or torn and windows roll up and down perfectly. Door locking mechanism is in perfect working order as are all the lights and gauges. With the exception of the front wiper motor (it is starting to slip) all electronics work as should; including the manual choke. AC needs a recharge...but blows hard. 4x4 engages and works great. Comes with 4" Boston Acoustic speakers in the front doors, Jenson 6x9s in the back and a working 6 disc Kenwood CD Changer under the driver seat. Just missing the radio. Body is in between yellow and tan in color. I bought it from California and live in El Paso therefore, is almost rust free. No cancer spots. Has surface rust in the frame where the undercoating has started to peel off, as well as small rust sections along side a door. Nothing major or of concern. Has been upgraded with a 7" lift with new shackles, leaf springs, and shocks all around. The transfer case appears to have been rebuilt shortly before my purchase as it looks clean, and again, works great. I get A LOT of compliments when it is seen. Considering the age - it is in excellent condition. The engine has all the vacuum hose replaced as well as a new carburator. All other hoses are in new or like new condition. Engine is strong and does not smoke. The clutch is responsive and shifts into gears smoothly. I had started to have idleing issues with it a few months ago and replaced the fuel pump - it worked only temporarily then started again. I have had two mechanics look/ diagnose it and both tell me it appears to be a vacuum leak. If you look at the pics, there are far too many hoses to go through and I simply don't have the patience, time or money to get this fixed. I know it's an isue that can be fixed quickly, but the fact that it's been sitting at my house for a few months I know I won't get to it. It starts up almost immediately and sounds great. Outside of it ideling rough at times....it is an excellent FJ60. Even with this issue, it is in better conditions that a lot of them out there. My reserve is low - who ever wins it will truly be pleased. If you are local feel free to email me to schedule a time to see it - I have no doubt you will like it. Please feel free to ask me questions. I will respond as quickly as possible. Thanks for looking and best of luck. On Apr-19-10 at 11:00:19 PDT, seller added the following information: Please note that the transmission has been upgraded to have 5 gears forward and the reverse gear - 6 gears total. On Apr-24-10 at 08:47:58 PDT, seller added the following information: Thanks for all the questions. Just wanted to write down what most everyone already knows. I was incorrect in the total lift height. It is a 3" lift, not 7". I apologize for any confusion this may have caused. Thanks again for looking and all the great feedback.
