1966 Ford Fairlane 289 V8 3 speed. Up for auction is a very solid 1966 Ford Fairlane XL 500. The car came originally with a 289 engine and 3 speed transmission but both are missing. The car is in exceptionally good shape with a few dents, 2 small rust holes located on the rear panel between the tail light panel and fuel tank and some pin holes in the driver side floor pan (see pictures). The car is very complete and original with all original body panels, nice chrome trim and glass. The interior is tan with a split bench front seat but needs to be restored with a new seat cover, carpet, headliner and door panels. The car was originally a three speed on the tree but the previous owner has cut a small hole in the floor for a shifter. Included are an extra set of bumpers and several moldings and pieces of trim. This is a very nice, straight and solid car with a reasonable reserve. I have a clear Michigan title for this car.
