What I have for sale is a 1988 Suzuki Samurai. I found this in the garage of someone’s summer home two years ago. It had last been licensed in 1999. The brakes where frozen and the motor ran, but not very well. The owner stated that it was his daughters to and knew little about the car. I found a used head gasket and other spare parts inside the car. I completely cleaned out the car and threw everything away, including carpet and seats. I sanded the car down and fixed a few rusted areas including the rock panels. I used spray on bed liner and coated the inside floor and kick boards and spray-painted over this. I painted the car white with good quality enamel, not the perfect paint but we intended to use this car around our farm. I replaced the original seats with cloth seats form Neon and they give you more legroom and are a lot more comfortable. I found another Samurai that had been converted to a rock crawler when it was almost new. The original motor and transmission had only18k miles on them according to the owner. I have no reason to doubt this since an inspection showed little wear and tear and clean oil. I put this motor and transmission in the 88 Samurai. So what I have is a car with 70,367 original miles on the chassis and body. The engine and transmission have approximately 18,000 miles on them. The brakes have been worked on and now work properly. The battery is new. The aftermarket cheaper radio works but is disconnected to protect the battery. The Neon seats are in excellent condition. The top is the two-piece and is in really good condition. The tires have a lot of tread on them but are weather checked. The car looks and drives great. There is no backseat.
