Vehicle Detail
***1969 FORD F-100 FARM TRUCK RUNS DRIVES STOPS 302 3 SPEED*** ***ORIGINAL PAINT INTERIOR --- BUILT IN CANADA RARE --- 3:50 REAR*** ***302 V-8 RUNS GREAT --- EXCELLENT FOR PARTS RESTO OR FARM USE*** This is a 1969 Ford F-100 pickup powered by a good running 302 V-8 and three speed transmission going into a nine-inch rear with 3:50 gears. I bought it four years ago and planned to use the engine in a project. Instead I used it as a farm vehicle hauling leaves, wood, etc. I need to part with it as I need room in the shed for another vehicle. It has a couple of things wrong with it - shifter hangs when you go into second and third, play with the shift rods and it will come loose - shifter tube is damaged and needs replacement or a floor shifter installed. I only use first and reverse on my property. The 10 year old battery is weak - I have to charge/jump it to start the truck. Everything works except the gas gauge stopped working last year, even the original radio plays. The truck has the original paint and interior. It has rust (favorite color of car hobbyists) as you can see in the photos. The hood area was rusted so I removed the hood after I got the truck. The tires are old and should not be driven on the road. Ford trucks that were sold in Virginia were built in Norfolk - this one was built in Canada so it's rare(!). Since I've had it I have put a kit in the carburetor, new starter, new rag joint, changed oil, etc. Email me any questions or if you'd like to come and take a look. THIS IS A NO RESERVE AUCTION ~ HIGH BIDDER WINS THIS BEAUTY It has the original light green paint accented by red rust. Ford called the paint Light Ivy Yellow but it looks light green. It's a wonderful color and you will enjoy it as much as I have. Windshield was replaced before I got it and is still in excellent shape with new rubber. I need to sell so I'll have room for more junk in the shed. Sorry no trades except your money for this truck. All glass is good, body has rust but isn't beat all up. I need to move this truck so don't bid if you need permission from your mom, wife or third cousin twice removed and once imprisoned. Still has its original trim. Some of it has been attached with screws but it's all there. Check out all four federal government mandated reflectors on the rear! Excellent for parts, restoration, or use it as a farm truck as I have for the last 4 years. The two tone light green and rusty red look really great together. Don't worry about the rust - she's as sound as the dollar is today. I've got the title ready to go so bring your trailer - she's always wanted to be a trailer queen. Side windows have those vent things at the top. Grill is nice - has a couple of very small dings - I've seen these grills go for $200 on ebay and that's the starting bid. Nice bumper guards, just like the old state police cars. Tailgate opens and closes properly. It's got a couple of rust holes and some dings but it opens, closes and stays closed until you open it again. The rust is repairable. World famous bluegrass station WXGI bumper sticker included at no extra charge. The interior is all original. Seat cover, floor mat with Ford lightning emblem, dash pad, etc. The speaker grill in the dash was replaced with black wire mesh by a previous owner - doesn't look too bad. Speaker doesn't sound too good. Driver side of the seat has some wear as you can see, in fact you sit lower than when it was new - great for tall drivers. Since the rag joint was replaced truck steers well. Horn button is under dash - I had the horn ring but can't find it. If I can find the ring it will go with her. Hopefully I won't lose anything else and I'll remember where I put the ring. That on and off switch works the back-up lights and yes they do light up. A previous owner had a CB in her most likely during the CB craze of the 70s. There is a mount on the dash for the mike and the wire around the column was for the CB. This vehicle comes with two keys - just like Lincoln, Cadillac, Lexus and other expensive cars. Fan blows, AM radio plays one and a half stations (one all the time and another one part of the time), gas gauge stopped working last year and I don't know why as I was always good to this truck. Heater control valve was stuck when I got it and I never replaced it because I like it hot. Original paint - dome light works - all lights work except a couple that I think have blown bulbs, I've never checked them. Dash lights work. Even has a headliner. That center spot was where a CB antenna once grew through the roof. I've hosed the truck off and the roof does not leak. In fact there are no water leaks inside the cab. I'm guessing the metal soaked up all the water and rusted on the outside of the cab. Back in the good old days they put gas tanks inside the passenger compartments. No gasoline leaks or smell inside the cab so if you're a smoker it's safer to light up in here than it is a restaurant today or if you're on an airplane. WOW - an original sticker from 1969! I have the door tag decoded below. Someone had a real dirty arm. Engine runs good with no smoke or strange noises - it's worth the price of the truck. Previous owner said he bought the truck from a mechanic that had rebuilt the engine at some time in the past. And yes I know all about those rebuilt engine stories - rebuilt with a spray can of paint - but this engine really does run well and has plenty of pep, could use a spray can of paint. You can see rust in hood hinge area. I think LMC sells those parts if you're determined enough to restore this baby. 10-year-old battery is now too weak to fire the engine up but I can jump it so you can hear it run. Engine runs great, transmission and rear are all good. The air cleaner lid is up a little because she needed a new filter and all I had was one about a hair too tall. Doesn't look all that great but runs fine. I put a kit in the carburetor and a new starter on it. Starter took a dump right after I bought it. That horn you see does blow. It has the old bottle jack - there is a tire iron under the seat in case the passenger gets out of control. Fan shroud is broken across the top. I moved it around so it doesn't hit the fan. We wouldn't want anything hitting the fan. You could buy a fancy 40 or 50 thousand dollar truck that couldn't haul a sheet of plywood or buy this one and you can haul a lot of full size plywood - and save tens of thousands of dollars! Bed has some metal patches behind the cab - I'm guessing a previous owner used what he had. There are some holes in the bed but way too small for you to fall through. I weight just over 200 and the bed feels real solid when I walk on it. Bed isn't too bad for an old truck. A big plus is it isn't filled with trash or beer cans like most of them. Tailgate actually works - opens, closes, stays closed until you open it again - behaves better than most children. Worse part of the tailgate - just slap some miracle filler in it like everyone else does. It's got some beefy metal under it and the famous Ford I-beams. Passenger side Driver side Oh - maybe I shouldn't have taken underside shots! This is the driver side - previous owner patched floor in cab and front cab mounts. Passenger side - yes, it is rusty but repairable or just use it as a farm truck or for parts. At least I'm honest about it and everything else unless I'm talking to a lawyer or a judge. Frame is like railroad track For some unknown reason someone painted the transmission Chevy orange - perhaps that is why there is so much rust under cab. Underside of bed is better than cab. Nine-inch Ford rear has 3:50 gears - brakes work, parking brake works. Muffler is coming apart but it gives the truck that healthy sound. How many 10, 20, 30 or even 40 thousand dollar antique cars have you seen on ebay with no spare tire? This truck has an actual spare that is holding air, very old air. Here's the door tag - note the made in Canada in the upper left - ULTRA RARE for a DSO sold in Virginia truck (this truck may have to get rarer until I sell her) F10GCF54621 - F10 is F-100, G is 302 engine, C - built in Ontario Canada, F54621 - built the last month of production August 1969 WB 131 - wheelbase 131 is 8 foot bed, Color 2 Light Ivy Yellow, Body 81 is conventional cab, Trans C for 3 speed, Axle 08 for nine inch Ford rear with 3:50 gears, DSO is Richmond Virginia - truck is about 25 miles SE of Richmond; it didn't wander far from where it was originally sold. Note the title says the truck has 50,242 ACTUAL miles - DMV is like a box of chocolates, you never know what they're going to put on a title. Also note no liens - you can buy it and take it home the same day without waiting weeks for a bank to release the title. Here's the hood - hood letters FORD are in the glove box. Previous owner removed them when he sprayed the hood with primer. Grill is a real beauty - buy her for the grill and you've got 2 tons of extra parts. Driver side front fender. Hubcaps look like they were installed with a sledge hammer. Windshield was replaced in the past and is like new. It has new rubber too. Wipers work but need new blades. Doors open and close easily and latch properly. If it wasn't for the rust this would be a great truck to restore! Previous owner liked stickers. I never removed them. All glass is good and both side windows roll up and down and stay up. Bed sides are not beat to you know what. Working tailgate - taillight lenses are good. Still has the original trim on the bed. Email me any questions and I'll answer them - try to keep them about the truck. You are welcome to come and take a look and I'll give you a thrilling ride around the yard in her. Email for my number if you have a lot of questions or if you want the thrill ride. Terms of sale: come and get her and bring CA$H. Truck is located in Matoaca District of Chesterfield County. Matoaca is the Indian name for Pocahontas; Chesterfield is the name for too high county taxes. I'm 11 miles from I-95, 13 miles from Route 288, 12 miles from I-85 and about 25 miles from the state capitol Richmond. Bid early, bid often and keep bidding until the end of the auction and then come and get her.
