This is a stunning car it is 1985 Lotus Esprit Turbo built for the European market sold new in Paris to an Austrian before finding it's way to Southern California, where it now resides with California title and plates. The Esprit was a gorgeous car designed by noted Italian stylist Giorgetto Giugariaro with a 2 litre 4 cylinder engine producing 160bhp and a 5 speed gearbox, the car was noted for it's supreme handling and great steering but was lacking in power. This shortcoming was overcome with the introduction of the Esprit Turbo, the engine was punched out to 2.2 litres and wih the help of 16 valves and a Garrett T3 turbocharger power was upped to 210bhp. Like all Loti it has a fibreglass body but this one also has a zinc galvanised chassis rust is not your enemy with this beauty. Okay here's the good : it is a beautiful Italian designed superb handling 150mph supercar that does 0-60 in 5.6 secs it drives superbly stops like it should and is not hit or rusty. It is very nice to look at and priced about the same as a good Triumph TR6 or an MGB. She handles like a dream pulls like a train but it is a 25 year old Lotus if you don't appreciate that it is not the car for you. The interior needs a little help, you could live with it but it needs help, mechanically she is good. She is very fast stops and goes well and overall is an interesting fast and fun car, but it not a Porsche and it is not an RX7.
