NO RESERVE!!!!!! 1956 CARIBBEAN PACKARD! THIS CAR HAS BEEN IN A CLIMATE CONTROLLED GARAGED SINCE 1991! LOADED WITH POWER STEERING, AIR CONDITIONING, POWER BRAKES, POWER WINDOWS, AND POWER SEATS! ONLY TWO OWNERS OVER THE LAST FORTY YEARS! ORIGINAL 59,946 MILE CAR! I do have this Packard for sale locally. I do reserve the right to cancel bids and end the auction early should it sell prior to the auction ending. So please do not hesitate to call as it could sell at any time. Shawn 816.308.0351. What we have is a very solid and rare 1956 Caribbean Packard. It is has received a tremendous amount of work over the years and is now ready to be completed. It is rare due to the fact that it is an AC car. It is about 98% complete and could easily be ready to take out on the road in less than thirty days. Just to give you an example, this is of course if you were able to find a 56 Caribbean, it would cost you upwards of 20k dollars just to get the sheet metal work to where ours is at today. That is of course based on being able to find salvageable sheet metal as they are not reproducing the sheet metal for these Packards. Now add in the motor, transmission, all of the trim, interior, gauge cluster, dash, AC setup, power steering, power brake setup, power windows, wiring harnesses, pedals, suspension, just every little part that goes in to building this car and now you're talking big money. It could easily cost you 45 - 50k just to part one together and that is if you can find everything. It is half tempting just to part the car out as I know that we could far surpass our asking price in doing so but I also know that to the right person, they will need all of these items and we would like nothing more then to see this Packard back on the road. Body: The body on this Packard is completely solid. It is in fact an all original sheet metal car. The floors, trunk, deck lid, hood, frame rails, roof, pillars, rockers, quarters, rear window sill, everything is solid and free of rust. The Packard has been repainted one time and is of a nice driver quality. I wouldn't call it a ten footer but it does have some blemishes which seem to be caused from bad preparation prior to being painted. You really have to get up close to see it so to call it a three footer would probably be correct. It has been repainted to its factory correct color combination. As you will notice, we do have the majority of the chrome. We are only missing some small pieces. The most complicated parts to find are in fact there and are in good shape as you will see located in the photos below. We also have a front bumper and rear bumper which are in good shape. All of the glass is in tact and in good shape with the exception of the drivers side and passenger side window which those two are original but will need to be replaced. We are also missing the original hood scoops/center pieces. On the trunk lid, you will notice that we had to tape the trunk lid down for transport. That is not a blemish and has since been removed. Engine & Mechanical: As you will notice, the car does still retain its original 374 motor along with its automatic Ultramatic transmission. The car has not been driven since the early 90's and would probably run as well as drive if the fuel was flushed out, replaced, and a new battery was in place. It does not appear to have leaked out any fluids nor is it locked up. The original mileage has also been confirmed by the previous owner and looking at the structure as well as the over all originality of the Packard, it would appear to be so. As you will notice we do have the original AC condenser but we are missing the compressor. We are also lacking the original 2x4 carburetor setup. The power steering and power brake setup are still in tact. The power set and power window setup is also still with the car. Interior: The interior as you will see is nearly complete. When we obtained the car we were actually instructed to pick it up from the upholstery shop. Located below you will see that the headliner has been done along with the dash pad and the door panels. The seats have been stripped but the original material will be going with the Packard. The seats need to be recovered and carpet put down. As you will notice, the original gauge cluster is still in place and is complete. You just wont find another 56 Caribbean Packard for what we are asking. There is still a tremendous amount of room for someone to purchase this Packard, finish it, and be safely invested. These Packards continue to just go upwards in price. A 1955 Caribbean just sold at Barrett Jackson in Vegas for 90k! We actually just sold ours for fairly close to that in October. You are welcome to view it by clicking here. I strongly encourage anyone who is interested to please call or email to schedule a time to come check it out. I would also like to add that I am usually on the phone from 7 AM until about 12 AM so you are always welcome to call and if I do not answer, just leave a message and I will return your call immediately. I know from my own experience with purchasing cars online, most of the time it is very difficult to get someone on the phone and to obtain the information you need. So I try to always stay on top of emails and phone calls. I will also assist anyone with shipping. I have shipped many cars all over the globe and I am fairly familiar with the whole process so please, do not hesitate to ask any questions. I also have a clear title for this Caribbean. As always, good luck and happy bidding! Thanks, Shawn 816.308.0351NO RESERVE AUCTION, PLEASE READ! I do have this Packard for sale locally. I would strongly encourage anyone who is interested to please call to schedule a time to come see it in person. If it should sell prior to the auction ending then I will cancel all bids and end the auction early. I would ask that if you have zero feedback to please call prior to bidding. Those who do not, I will be canceling those bids. It is nothing personal but due to my past experience, I have not had much luck with bidders who have zero feedback. My personal opinion when it comes to selling a vehicle is that those who are serious will call so again, I strongly encourage anyone who is interested to please call, text, or email with any questions or concerns you might have. Thank you and good luck! Heads up! Please only bid if you plan to purchase this car. If you would like to purchase this car prior to the auction ending then please feel free to contact me to discuss terms and offers. We pride ourselves on straight forward auctions loaded with information! Fraud protection: M&M Classics is a registered LLC in the State of Missouri. All transactions will be done through United Missouri Bank in Kansas City, MO. Our LLC Charter Number, Federal Tax ID Number and bank contact information can be provided at your request. Spotting Fraud: On a few occasions overseas scam artists have used our images and descriptions to attempt to pass our cars off as their own and dupe buyers into sending deposits. Usually these deals are too good to be true, and for good reason. Scammers will typically not be able to answer questions about the car, have a very low "buy it now" price and will ask for a deposit. Once you send the deposit they are never heard from again. If you spot one of our vehicles or any other vehicle for sale with suspicious terms DO NOT send the alleged seller money and please notify us immediately. We will contact eBay security about any fraud we see, whether for our cars or others. READ THIS PLEASE! This car is sold as-is where is, with no warranty, as is true for all classic vehicles. Every attempt has been made to describe this vehicle correctly. Any vehicle 10 years old or older is considered exempt by federal government mileage standards and most classics are titled with miles as exempt.
