Vehicle Detail
***One of the VERY LAST listings for this car and is being re-listed because of some scumbag NON PAYING BIDDER csr (justigarci_38). His loss and maybe your gain? 2004 Cadillac DeVille Base for sale with 124,037 miles (from 1/2/19). This was owned by a family friend (leased then bought), went to my brother and then went to me. So, this has been "in the family" since new. I originally bought this car in the fall of 2012 and have only put 10,500 miles since then and has been stored in my garage every December 1st until April/May since I have owned it. The inside is in GREAT condition and the outside is, too except: both front doors on the very bottom has some surface rust. Also, the rear driver side back wheel well has rust and the passenger side is just barely starting, too. Also, the rear driver's side wheels finish is pretty rough. I have stored this every winter since I've owned this. Getting this ready to sell, I re-installed the tires and found that all 4 sensors were bad. Instead of replacing all 4 and passing the cost on to you (at least $170.00), I had new air valves (not sensors) installed on all 4 wheels. Many people will not be happy with this, but this is the choice I made. You can always buy these sensors yourself and have them installed. After the price for the parts, installing these is not very expensive (cheap) and does not take long (1-2 hours). I replaced the rear brake lines (up towards the front of the car), bled the master cylinder and all 4 brake lines, added 2 rear brake bleeder screws and installed new front brake pads (didn't need to but I did anyway). All fluids are good. I replaced and greased the driver and passenger side OUTER tie rod ends. I put them back in the original position as the old ones so the alignment will be pretty good but you will probably want to get this aligned just to be safe. You will need to replace the front struts (and at some point replace the rear shocks) but if you want to drive it as is you can. These are NOT the air shocks that cost a fortune to replace. Pricing BOTH the front struts and back shocks online from Rock Auto for Monroe 171685 Front Struts/Spring Assembly (2@$92.79 each) and Monroe MA822 Rear Shocks ($54.99 per set) comes to $240.57 (plus shipping). This is the base model and I posted the sticker parts code so you can check on these yourself. Other issues: the outside temp sensor (cheap and easy to replace) reads 140 degrees, 1 key/fob, the CD player stopped (the radio and all speakers + sub works great), the "service air bag" text is displayed (the front air bag sensor needs replaced which I never did--$65, easy-to-do). I get asked a lot about leaks because the Northstar engines are known to have this issue. I have had pea size drips here and there. I have (1) NEVER had a puddle, (2) a pool or (3) had to top off my oil because it leaked out all over the place. I have only added oil when I do a complete oil/filter change (I do them myself, full synthetic). There has been NO increase (i.e. it has not gotten worse) in drips from the time I bought this (2012) until now (2019). Since buying this car it has been stored from: Dec. 1 2012 to April/May 2013 Dec. 1 2013 to April/May 2014 Dec. 1 2014 to April/May 2015 Dec. 1 2015 to April/May 2016 Dec. 1 2016 to April/May 2017 Dec. 1 2017 to Present The rear plastic panel that accesses the trunk does not close (when the rear center arm rest is down it opens). I have the pieces (see the pic of the bag) but have not put it back together. There are a few small cracks at the bottom of the windshield (see pic). I did this when replacing the wipers a couple of months ago and I dropped the wiper arm on the windshield. If you decided you wanted to replace this Safelite Auto might be the way to go (I personally would not do this job myself) and costs $185.00 installed. Also, you'll notice (or not) that the center wheel caps are not installed. These pics were taken when the car was being cleaned and detailed and were not installed. Rest assured, I have all 4 caps and they are now installed. Heated seats, heated steering wheel, excellent heater, trunk release, gas release, power windows, power seats, power steering, etc. Please feel free to ask me any questions or request more pics. If you want to discuss this in more detail give me a call: (419) 961-2923. I try to answer all calls but sometimes I can't so MAKE SURE YOU LEAVE A MESSAGE. You can pick this up or have it shipped.
