Vehicle Detail
This 1965 titled (produced in 1964 according to VIN # check online) Sears Allstate, made by PUCH in Austria, model 250 SG, in Burgundy color with original "Puch-Super-Lastik" solo saddle and speedometer in MPH (not sure is original speedo? I think original would have said Sears or Allstate?). In overall good, original, condition showing signs of normal use and wear-n-tear for it's age. It is mostly an unmolested survivor bike and catches attention everywhere I have taken it, even to a couple Harley-Davidson events! It runs and drives fine and last time I rode it everything was working except for the horn. Needs a new battery (about $25 at NAPA) bcoz they only seem to last about 2 or 3 years. This is a very unique engine design which was nicknamed the "Twingle" as it is a 2-stroke, twin piston, single cylinder. This is a pretty rare model, as most of them came to USA with a two-up seat. I see there is also an available passenger seat (not included), similar to the driver's seat, with a hand rail, but hard to find! I am searching for the title and may have to apply for a new one. Please feel free to ask any and all questions. Buyer is responsible for pick-up and/or shipping arrangements for the bike and a $500 deposit is required upon winning the auction. I will help/assist the shipper at my shop. As always, thank you for looking and more for bidding/buying!On Feb-02-19 at 16:29:29 PST, seller added the following information: Update Note: I was just informed by a fellow ebay'r that the frame number actually reflects the frame and body is from 1957 production numbers, while the engine must have been updated at some point in it's life and is actually from a 1965 production year. Just FYI, as I understand, this was a common practice back in the day when there was a problem which was irreparable with the original engine. Again, thank you for looking and bidding!
