Pulled the pan off the rear, and found chunks of the pinion gear in the oil.(see last pic) So it needs a a ring, pinion and bearing kit. Yes, you can put it in 4x4 and move it. SOLID Truck! Well worth fixing. Has a GM Crate 350 ci. w/ 30K on it. W/ paperwork for it. Super strong! Runs great! Doesn't use ANY oil.220K + or - on truck. 4L60E Trans. Dual Exhaust,A/C, Cruise, Tilt. 33" Duck Commander Mud Tires, Black Spoke Rims, 5% Limo Tint, Warn Winch Bumper, Alumn. Tool Box, No raido in it. Has 1 rust spot the size of a nickel on passenger cab corner, Solid rockers, fender wells and bed. Again needs gears in rear axle. So Yes you need a trailer. Its a 3.42 gear. A great truck to fix.
