Up for sale is my 2005 Toyota Tacoma TRD Sport Double Cab LONG BED V6 4.0L 4 x 4. The true original mileage is 157,564. I am the 2nd owner of the truck and have owned it since 10/2008. As a quick background I have been on ebay since 1999 with my wife and on my own account here since 2004. I am a private seller, not a dealer and I do not buy and sell vehicles on the side. This is my own personal truck that I have driven, loved and maintained for the last 10 years. I actually bought it here on ebay in 2008 and met the seller face to face to pick it up as he was in New Jersey and I am around Boston. The reason I am selling it is because I took a different job where I have to commute in and around Boston and I needed a smaller and more practical commuter vehicle that is a easier to drive and park in Boston. Otherwise I would not sell this truck and did not plan on it. With that said I will also say that I would gladly sell this truck to my neighbor as it is in impeccable mechanical shape and good to very good overall condition. There is a small dent on the rear bumper edge that could be knocked out if you wanted to, and a small door ding on the driver side rear bed. The rear RH Tail Light Lens has a crack but works just fine. There was some clear tape put on the wheel well edges to keep the road rash down and this could be removed at some point if you want to do a really good exterior detail. I just had the interior professionally detailed as well as steam cleaned the motor area. ($250) The interior is in very good condition with general wear but there are no rips or tears or flaws with any of the seat fabric or carpets etc. You could still do some additional detail cleaning on the interior but it is in very good shape. I should also mention I do not haul pets nor do I smoke. So it is very clean in that regard as well. The truck has always had regular oil & filter changes, it has a K&N Filter that I clean and oil regularly, I change the cabin filter often as well as the wiper blades and I have probably changed the spark plugs more times than necessary and recently changed them in the last 8000 miles. This truck had the FRAME RECALL in late 2014 or 2015 and just before that was done it had the Leaf Spring Recall as well. At the time the frame was done I also had the steering knuckle replaced and I had the shocks and struts done too. I believe I am on my third set of shocks and struts. Around this time I also put a new battery in the truck. About 3 years ago I put a new Alternator in the truck and a couple of years ago replaced the mud flaps. Last year (2018) I did all of the following work on this truck and I have put under 8000 miles on the truck since the beginning of 2008. In most cases most of the work below was done in the Summer and I purchase my new vehicle in November, so this is all basically new parts and service. *New Michelin Defender Tires ($1200)*New Premium NAPA Front Brake Calipers, Rotors & Pads ($1000) and Brake Fluid Bleed and Replacement of course. (Rear brakes are still in very good shape and did not need to be replaced.)*New Moog Universal Joints (times 3) on the Drive Shaft and Transfer Shaft (Not sure what you call it but there are 3 sets and I had them all replaced.) (Approx. $1000 with all the below service work.)*Front & Rear Differential Fluid Replace, Automatic Transmission Fluid Replace, Transfer Case Fluid Replace, and Automatic Steering Fluid Replace.*New OEM Tow Hitch and Support Beam Replace ($800)*New OEM Toyota TRD Exhaust Replace ($1000)*New Tensioner Pullys (4 of them) plus Drive Belt ($400)*New AC Compressor Clutch Plate ($150) Basically everything that might be needed to be updated or maintained has been done to this truck at this time and it just needs to be driven. The truck has never been an off road vehicle and has always been used on the highways and locally for runs to Lowes etc., and I have a small trailer I tow on occasion for landscape supplies etc. So it has never seen heavy or hard use. The 4 x 4 gets used regularly enough as well however in our New England winters. So it gets used just enough to keep it fresh. EVERYTHING on the truck works perfectly. All buttons, switches, knobs, levers, handles, lights, CD changer, radio, 4 x 4, transmission and shifter, engine, heater, AC, etc. Nothing at all to report otherwise. It is all just typical Toyota and keeps on truckin' (no pun.) The truck has OEM TRD Sport Front Seat Covers that have been on them since I bought it. (Never had them off.) It has the standard bed liner AND has the OEM Toyota Rubber Bed Mat. In addition and as seen in the pictures it has a locking ARE color matched hard Tonneau Cover (I believe it is an LSX model but don't quote me.) It also has a Yakima Rack system with two bike racks that mounts to the tonneau. And it has a set of Thule Racks that mount to the top of the cab. These are all keyed with locks and were on the truck when I purchased it and will come with the truck. I have all of the keys as well and they will come with. Weather Tech mats have been in it as well since I owned it. I have both sets of keys with remotes as well as the valet key. It has the owners manual and paperwork. I have some or most of all of the paperwork to show the maintenance items above and if necessary I can provide whatever necessary if you have a question about any of this work or service. I have a clean CARFAX report which I will try to attach to this listing as well. And of course I have clean title in hand. As described above this is the Double Cab WITH LONG BED version of this truck. It is hard to find this combination and when new this was the top of the line set up for the Tacoma. It has all of the bells and whistles including Tow Package with Oil Cooler and all of the options that came with the TRD Sport package. It is a great 2 owner truck that I will gladly answer any questions about so that the buyer will feel completely confident in their purchase. I understand the concerns with buying something like this online and I would invite anyone to come see it in person who is local as well. If you would like to arrange a third party service to inspect that is fine too.
