Vehicle Detail

Update: I added some more photos of the matching numbers. Free shipping within 1000 miles of WA state for full asking price. Selling my absolutely beautiful and mostly original BMW R60 /2. It still uses a 6v battery, and I have a replica of the original on there. When I bought it, it had some wiring problems all of which I had fixed at a local BMW shop. There are minor dings and damages which are to be expected with a 58 year old motorcycle, which are detailed in the photos. It has the very rare triple matching numbers - the frame, engine and badge on the front are all matching. It is amongst the first 1000 R60's ever produced, actually the 508th R60 ever made! It is kickstart only, and it fires up quite easily usually on the second kick. Because it is an antique, I've never driven it very far - I usually ride with my wife around town or down back roads a few suburbs over. It has never let us down, but it is old. The front brake works but it doesn't feel very strong. It comes with the original factory repair manual (half in German!). I also had to find a locksmith to unlock and make a special key for the gas tank compartment. In it, we found the original toolkit! All of the tools have "Robertson" scratched into them, probably by a previous owner decades ago. The title is clean and in my name, it is titled in WA state where I live.It uses the original, unique key. There is virtually no fading on the speedometer. The tires are in very good condition - I had a new set installed several months ago. The previous owner, and myself, have always kept it in a heated garage. It has the attachment on the frame for a sidecar. It even has the original emergency hand pump for the tires!Center-stand only. We're selling it because my wife and I are planning a cross-country motorcycle trip and we each want to take our own bike, so we're selling this to buy two. Please be aware that she is very old, this isn't a motorcycle I would ride recklessly or expect high performance out of. However, she's always been reliable to us, and starts up easily. Willing to help with shipping and happy to keep it stored while you arrange for shipping. If you pay full price I will deliver for free within 1000 miles of Washington state (excluding Canada). I'm also willing to accept Bitcoin payments. I don't really want to go through the hassle of shipping internationally, but if you are serious about buying then we can arrange it. The deposit is non-refundable. On Jan-15-19 at 21:14:24 PST, seller added the following information: Update: When I created the listing I included a "Buy it now" option for $12,000, that I didn't know would disappear when bids started. That was the price for the free shipping within 1000 miles of WA. However, to keep the spirit of good faith, any bids that go over $10,000 will still get free shipping within 1000 miles of WA. Thank you for your bids and understanding.
