Essentially the critical components, like the main motive battery, the electric drive components, charger, corrosion resistance, etc. are still under the Factory Warranty. Voice control system permits voice control of most Bluetooth capable cell phones, plus voice control of the GPS navigation system and the radio. Accepts addresses by voice, phone numbers by voice, tunes the radio by voice control. You can say "Tune XM 58" or "Tune XM Prime Country", or "Tune FM 102.5" and the sound system will tune the radio to that. You can say "Call Joe Johnson on Cell" or "Call Joe Johnson at Home" and as long as you have Joe Johnson listed by name, and both numbers are saved in your cell phone, it will call him at the desired number and you talk to him on the speaker phone built into the car. You can say "Navigation" while driving, and the GPS will prompt you through voice commands which you answer with voice commands to enter any address, it will find it and program the GPS to get you there. The GPS driving directions are given to you through the sound system, and also displayed on the center display, as well as the drivers display (speedometer in front of the steering wheel). This a VERY advanced system, and allows you to keep your driving concentration on the road ahead while operating all of these other systems... no distracted driving messing with manual controls that take your eyes off the road. The original charger (not included with this sale) was a level 1 charger only. Level 1 chargers charge from 120 volts, and take 10 to 14 hours to fully charge the battery. Level 2 chargers charge from 240 volts, and will charge the car fully in a little over 3 hours. Level 2 chargers typically cost $500 to $800. The combination charger included with the car comes with an adapter that will let you plug it into a 120 volt outlet (standard home outlet) to perform level 1 charging, or you can plug it into a 240 volt outlet and have level 2 charging. This is a vast improvement over the level 1 charger that was supplied with Chevy Volts originally. COMMENTS: As shown in the Vehicle History Report, the car does have some damage from a hail storm in Colorado, and an impact with a small animal like a dog or a cat. I have included photos of the right front headlamp area that shows the very minor damage from the animal impact, and if you look carefully, you can see some of the hail dents in the photos of the hood and roof. There was no structural damage to the car from either of these incidents, but the insurance company declared the car as a total loss, which is quite common in the case of hail damage. (I own 4 hail damaged Chevy Volts). None of this affects the drive-ability of the car nor does it affect the warranty status of the car. I purchased two of these hail damaged cars from the insurance company at the same time after inspecting them and realizing that they both would be very nice cars. I'm keeping the hail damaged black one that I bought, and am selling this hail damaged white one. This car has a clear title, it has always had a clear title, not a salvage or rebuilt title, and will make the new owner a very nice car. If you don't mind driving a car with a few hail dents, this could be the right car for you! In my family (wife and adult children), we own 5 Chevy Volts, and absolutely love them. 4 of them are hail damaged Volts I have bought from Insurance companies at auction, and one of them we bought brand new in 2012. In case you don't fully understand a Chevy Volt, the car always drives on it's 2 electric motors that are coupled to the front wheels. It goes 35 to 50 miles on the electric battery charge, then a 4 cylinder engine automatically and seamlessly kicks in that runs a generator that supplies electrical power to the electric drive motors, and the car will go about another 300 miles on gasoline before needing to stop at a gas station on trips. The beauty of a Chevy Volt is that it is a full time electric car around town, and a gasoline car for road trips. My wife commutes 20 miles to work and 20 miles back home each day, and we go months at a time without ever putting gasoline into the car. The only time we use gasoline is when we go on road trips out of town, and on road trips it gets 40 to 50 miles per gallon. Depending on electric rates, it typically costs about 1 penny per mile for the electricity to run an electric car, as opposed to about 7 to 10 cents per mile to operate a gasoline only car.
