You may be a Mercedes Benz enthusiast or previous owner of a W140 series S Class (1992 to 1999) and understand already that this series of Mercedes is arguably the best sedan ever built by Mercedes or any other company for that matter. The late model years of the W140 were the nicest and most reliable of the production run. Additionally, the V12 S600 was the best of the best of the W140’s and the rarest. This 1998 S600 is very near the end of the production of the W140 and is a wonderful color combination (Obsidian Black) and an exterior that is in very impressive and rare condition.This car only has 76,000 miles and was from the Naples Florida area and serviced at Mercedes in Naples though at least 2015 or 2016. I purchased the car this fall. I have owned over the years a total of four S600’s, 2 ‘98’s and 2 ‘99’s. The exterior of the body of this car is in outstanding condition. The bumper covers have some surface paint imperfections in the paint which can be easily corrected if you wish to do so but the important part, the car body, is excellent and there is no accident or paint history known or visible. The interior is in good condition overall and shows typical signs of 20 years of wear. Currently the rear A/C is not cooling however the front A/C is tossing ice cubes out of the vents. The rear A/C issue I think is a valve that could be replaced or fixed. All pneumatics are working properly. Check engine light is on. Serious buyers only please.
