Vehicle Detail
Here is a 1998 Pontiac Trans Am WS6 with 4L60E Automatic transmission that I recently Inherited from my father who passed away a few months ago. Here is what I know about the car, he purchased the car in the fall of 2016 with the intention of having a nice street/strip car to go racing with his buddies. He took it to the track one time and ran 13.8 then he decided to have it dyno tuned which turned into a complete engine rebuild that he didn't get back until September of 2017 which included stroking the LS 1 (see attached picture of the estimate and parts used),the shop also rebuilt and re-calibrated the 4L60E transmission and new torque converter. In December of 2017 my father swapped out the rear end with a complete axle to axle Moser 12 bolt with 3.73 gears and a Detroit Tru-Trac. The car also received upgraded Tubular torque arm and tubular lower control arms also purchased from Moser, the car also has bolt in sub frame connectors. My Father was diagnosed with cancer in February 2018 and never felt good enough to drive the car all summer, in August of 2018 I managed to get the car to the track and run a few time trials so my father could see it run, the car consistently ran 11.9 in the 1/4 mile on Mickey Thompson ET street drag radials. My father spent well over $20,000 in upgrades, not including the initial price of the car in the few short years he had it, including $15,000 on the motor and transmission and another $5,000 on the Moser rear end. The car has less than 500 miles on all the new components, Everything works perfectly. The car is absolutely beautiful and needs nothing, the car is currently running 275/40R17 Mickey Thompson ET street drag Radials but also comes with 2 un-mounted 275/40ZR17 Nitto NT555 extreme tires that match the fronts and have 8/32 tread. The exhaust system is 3" and it along with the headers are both from Stainless works. There also is a professionally installed line-lock on the car.
