Pasting a question asked by "69stangz" and Sent:Nov-28-18 19:37: Quick couple of questions, what’s the current state of the car? Is the drive train and interior still completely disassembled , and if I were to bid/ purchase the car would you be able to put the motor, transmission and drive shaft in the car ? Just for transportation reasons, does not need to be running. Bolted in and sealed up and the rest of the parts can be packed inside of the car for the ride. Thank you Answer:. The current state of the car is as pictured. The engine, transmission, and driveshaft are not in the car. The headlamps were removed to install LED H4 style lamps into the glass housings. The car has a Painless headlamp adapter that connects directly into the OEM harness. The tail lamps were removed in order to clean the housings and lenses and to install new gaskets (same applies for the side markers). All wiring is still OEM and functions without any issues. The interior is for the most part installed and the dash was never removed or disassembled. Only the carpet, padding, door panels, and rear quarter panels and package tray were removed for the installation of the Dynamat that was done by myself. The rear quarter panels are still off the car as is the rear package tray. The buyer can opt to have me install them before the car is transported (it would only be a task that takes less than one hour), or leave them off for inspection of the condition of the car. I can reinstall the drivetrain, it would be about three hours worth of work and the buyer can opt to have it done before transporting the car. The engine and transmission were never disassembled, only the intake was removed along withe the front accessory bracketsand pulleys. The car comes with two sets of motor and transmission mounts, one set is poly and the other set is OE rubber style. The smaller items can be properly packed up and stored in the trunk of the car. Included is a NOS set of door and trunk locks and ignition switch with keys.********************************************************************************************************************************************************************************************************************************* Please view my other auctions. I am relisting the original auction, listing No. 223147147092, dated September 15, 2018. I truly estimate it would take about 5 days to finish the car. I will be editing and updating some photos (7th & 8th are new photos) by Sunday evening. I have posted this information so you can refer to the original auction photos. I am compiling all the photos I have along with all the receipts (a ton of them) and I will upload to Google Docs in order to share the file for those interested individuals. I also have many other non-major additional parts not pictured. I purchased this car about 18 years ago. At the time of purchase the car came all original with the exception of the carburetor, gas tank, and probably (but I am not certain) the front and rear seat covers. All else was (with the exception of some bolts on the body panels) original and unmolested. To my best knowledge I am the third (3rd) owner and since then there have been changes done to the car in order to increase the drive-ability and reliability of the car since I enjoyed it so much. I wanted to make it a daily driver without molesting the internals of the engine, transmission, and rear end differential and housing. After having restomoded two other cars (having learned what works well and what doesn't or won't fit) I decided to start the Boss 351. I carefully thought out each purchase to retain most of the OE look but with upgraded parts. The first picture is the current condition of the car, I removed the drive-train to paint the engine and transmission. I also removed all the interior door panels, seats, and carpet in order to clean the floor pan, install Dynamat, and reinstall new carpet. The dash, instrument cluster, and dash pad were never removed. The individual who was helping me placed Armor All on the hood and that's why it is shiny, since then it was been washed off. The second and third, picture is the condition of the car when I first purchased it, also depicts a picture on a popular website of this same car. The fourth, fifth, and sixth picture is when I purchase it and took delivery in Texas. The 7th picture unto the 11th picture is when I made the suspension and brake modifications and would drive the car. An OEM rear spoiler was installed. The remaining pictures show the process the car has undergone to replace more components in order to make it more drive-able and reliable since I enjoyed it so much. Since then I have not been able to complete the project. It currently sits with the drive-train and fuel system removed. I have not been able to finish reinstalling the interior panels. This is an excellent opportunity for interested buyers to carefully inspect the car. I have only purchased those aftermarket parts which not only fit and perform better than OEM but also have value (in my opinion) and as much as possible resemble the stock look or finish. Many people will disagree and I completely understand but my point is that the parts that have been changed are top notch, proven to work reliably, and worth money. In the event the buyer would want to go back to stock; in many cases some of the aftermarket parts on the car will sell for close to the OEM parts they would replace. Keep in mind I have not touched the drive-train other than new valve cover gaskets, ARP fasteners in key external areas, and a transmission top plate gasket. The original driveshaft was replaced in favor of a lightweight aluminum unit with a forged yoke. Other than the a-arms and swaybars, all other parts are lighter in weight. The car was driven before and time was spent to sort it out in favor of driving well and reliably. Money was spent on reducing bump-steer and it was significantly reduced by the Baer adjustable tie rod ends followed by a custom wheel alignment for everyday street driving. Examples are (prices have not been inflated, receipts available).: CVF Racing black finish, billet aluminum pulleys and brackets. Driven by a quiet 8-rib, no slip, efficient serpentine belt. Matching power steering and alternator (all made in USA) Plus a high torque Power Master starter (($1,150). DeWitts aluminum radiator (OEM style) with twin fans ($1,000)Baer front & rear disc brakes (13" ft, 12" rr) with stainless lines througout ($2,500)Complete Global West front & rear Del-Alum suspension with roller perches and adjustable Baer adjustable tie rod ends ($1,400).Custom stainless steel gas tank for either fuel injection or carburetor (OEM style, $600) 18" Billet (not the lesser costly American Racing brand) aluminum wheels front (8.5" wide) and rear (10" wide), custom backspacing for NO wheel well rub ($2,100).Mandrel-bent 3" front to rear tips exhaust with Magna-Flow mufflers (not too loud, only when the gas pedal is pressed, $700).Hooker Super Comp headers ceramic coated by Jet Hot (do not hang low) $800McLeod billet flywheel, pressure plate, & clutch (7 pounds ligher than OEM), Romac Gold balancer (about 4 lbs lighter) for faster engine revs & excellent take off torque. Denny's 3.5" aluminum driveshaft & forged yoke ($1600 total).Over the counter NOS D1ZF distributor with Petronix for carb or fuel injection. New NOS Ford Duraspark II kit with Petronix wiring for carb or fuel injection for stock look ($900). Much more.... The interior: Seats and panels are stock, original and in great condition only non-stock item is the LeCarra steering wheel with custom made "Pony" logo. The floor was primed and then Dynamat was placed throughout including the trunk for reduced noise levels. The carpet is brand new. The exterior of the car is very good and while in my ownership has not been in an accident and looks to be accident free. All of the panels appear to be OEM original and I have no knowledge or indication of it to be otherwise. The car is ready for a fuel system to be purchased by the new owner. It has a NOS Ford D1ZX distributor with points for a carburetor setup or an electronic conversion kit (included for the fuel injection option). The new stainless tank has an internal sump and -8an/-6an connections for fuel injection or carb and retains the factory fuel vapor canister return line plate on top of the tank. Due to the bad weather today, I am unable to post more information or pictures but will be be compiling a spreadsheet of all the parts (I have receipts, approximately $14k worth) and a pdf file of over 100 pictures. I should finish posting the information no later than 5 days from now but in the meantime I welcome all questions. I will restate that I am not an expert but do have knowledge about the car and will answer your questions honestly. I will accept a deposit for $250 within 48 hours and will not be refundable unless I have substantially misrepresented the car. Full payment will be due within 10 days of auction ending. I will also accept offers above the starting auction price only by the eBay messaging system. The buyer is ultimately responsible for setting up pickup and delivery of the car but I will help in anyway I can (I have prior experience with several other cars). I am not a reseller on eBay, just a car enthusiast. Thank you and bid with confidence.
