Exquisite condition! 2007 Triumph Bonneville Frame no. SMT900K107T299576 Engine no. 2293554 Ever since the re-emergence of a newly revitalized Triumph in 1990, enthusiasts had been eagerly waiting the revival of the Bonneville brand, one of the most evocative names in motorcycling history. Ten years would elapse before Triumph felt ready to do so, having by then emphatically established its credentials as a builder of thoroughly modern motorcycles rivaling the best from Japan and Europe. Triumph's design brief for the new Bonneville was to emulate the classic style of the late 1960s version while incorporating the best of modern technology in the engine, transmission and running gear. The new Bonneville debuted to critical acclaim at the Munich Motorcycle Show. The machine offered here, of 2007 vintage, shows an original 15,725 miles from new. A Hinckley-built, carburetor version, this desirable and unmolested example has been meticulously maintained and kept. The daily rider of a collector of European classic motorcycles, this excellent example is offered in perfectly original condition, almost completely unmolested from standard guise. In Triumph’s lovely rich silver, this is an excellent commuter bike and Sunday rider, and with electric start and no puddle of oil underneath, it made a refreshing change from the rest of the stable. The bike runs perfectly. It starts easily, idles smoothly and has good, responsive power from the 865cc twin. The gearbox shifts perfectly smoothly with a good clutch. Brakes and suspension are like new and the tires are in excellent shape with plenty of tread remaining. The paint on the tank is near perfect, as are the finishes on the fenders, panels, frame, wheels, etc. The bike is 11 years old, so not absolutely perfect, but has been meticulously stored and maintained, and, as a result, is in astonishing condition throughout. The only departures from standard trim are the panier racks, pillion pegs, and shift lever. An unmolested Bonnie is becoming a rarity in itself and here is an excellent example, perfectly maintained, and in need of absolutely nothing.
