Up for auction is my 1990 Mercedes Benz 500SL convertible with hard top. It has 154,000 miles and runs perfect. I enjoy every chance I get to take this classic out, unfortunately, I have a family now, and a 2 seater doesn't cut it, so its time to let her go. Previous owner lowered the car but she rides smooth, and installed AMG package ( bumpers, side skirts, staggered rims). In the last few years, I've replaced the soft top with german canvas, upgraded the seats with Mercedes color red german leather with black stitching and replaced carpet behind the seats. The factory hardtop liner was also upgraded with black suede. There are practically new Dunlop tires. I had years ago the car completely repainted to factory specs, so it shines beautifully, you can see you reflection in the paint. These cars are known to have convertible top hydrolics leak due to their age...but I had all those seals replaced, no leaks!!! Very expensive to replace, so no worries with this car about that. I've installed a pioneer radio with Bluetooth audio, and all new speakers. I had the wood interior panels wrapped in carbon fiber, but the center console wood, was removed sanded down, and painted to match the exterior. Car also has newer style front grill and LED headlamps. The car had a complete tune up last year (rotors, caps, wires & plugs). All she needs is a new home....sad to let her go, but it’s not practical for me anymore. Any questions, feel free to contact me, thanks.
