1969 Triumph Bonneville

Very nice 69 Bonneville with all the right stuff. Restored about eight years ago starting with a matching number, very original local bike. It has been ridden so there are a few paint nicks in the front fender and fork tubes, but otherwise shows very well - not an average rider. Original Triumph parts were used where possible, otherwise British repro - no Chinese. Starts easily and runs well. New Amal 286s. Engine was gone through by Ken Armann in San Jose before I bought the bike. It does leak some oil but all my British bikes leak some oil. Correct colors and scheme for early-mid year 69 Bonnevilles and paint was sourced from Don Hutchinson. I chose to keep the good original seat cover because repop covers do not have the correct herringbone top pattern. Original tach and speedo were rebuilt, but the last few times I rode it, the speedo was acting up. The Dunlop wheels were rechromed and I chose to use newly cad-plated steel spokes because thats how they're supposed to be. All hardware was cad plated as well. Silencers are from the UK. Frame, swing arm and some parts were powdered coated, but oil tank and side cover are enamel. Correct horns worked a few years ago, but no longer - not sure what the issue is.
