Vehicle Detail
This is a 1980 Pontiac Trans Am Pace Car. 301 Turbo that starts right up and drives well. Paint was redone 2 yrs ago and looks good and shines well( there is a few bubbles)Tires are good, brakes and calipers were redone as well. New shocks and rear leaf springs were just done. Interior is original and could use new seat covers and door cards. Carpet has been replaced. 6 way Power drivers seat tracks out of a corvette we’re put on. Passenger seat is not power. Original tracks come with it. The squirrel cage fan for the heater is a little noisy, I bought a replacement I just have not had a chance to install it. Dash has a crack. Tach does not work. Motor does Not smoke and starts every time. Radiator is new, water pump and thermostat are new. Charging system works well. Turbo lights on hood work. Original carb was rebuilt. Glass is all good, and windows go up,and down. Fisher mirrored t-tops from factory. Original radio was replaced with a cassette player. New exhaust from crossover back, no cat, with flow master 40 mufflers and a remote cutout to run wide open if wanted. It sounds great, no drowning at highway speeds. Correct exhaust tips installed. New gas tank, and sender installed. I have the space saver rim and tire. Headliner was replaced. This car is not perfect. It does drive nicely and stops well. I bought this car from a guy who got it from original owner. There was a divorce and the wife brought this car back and left it in the guys driveway. She told him the turbo was blown. It was not not blown. He put it away and it sat in his garage for 20 years, its last state inspection was 1994. I know it is a very original car.
