This 1 owner 2006 Mercedes E350 has broken transmission. When you start the engine and put it into gear - it either may not react and shift at all or its automatic transmission will shift into first or second gear - which will continue to be engaged and push the car forward even when you shift into neutral, reverse and sometimes even park. So, obviously the problem with the transmission is quite severe. The check engine light also lit up right after the tranny started misbehaving. That was about a week ago, on 9/06/18.That explains the need for a tow truck during pickup.The vehicle has 242,000+ miles on it and therefore there is plenty of other, mostly minor issues.Please take into consideration the following:- the above-mentioned transmission problem.- check engine light is on.- shock absorbers may need replacing (noticeable when going over speed bumps)- there are some minor dents, dings and scratches.- windshield has several stone chips.- front bumper has an older crack (glued and stable)- the passenger door lock is skipping, but locks and stays down after a second or a third attempt.- small tear in the driver's seat (on the side close to the door)- chrome plating on driver's door inner handle is worn/peeled off- the alloy wheels show scratches and one of them has a missing emblem/star - steering wheel, shift knob and basically anything else which is being touched in order to be used/operated shows wear consistent with 242,000 + miles.This is a cash only sale - and as such, the potential buyer will have a chance to inspect the vehicle before paying for it.Please feel free to contact me via Ebay in order to arrange an inspection appointment, but please note that the vehicle cannot be moved without the presence of a towing truck.Thank you. The following are answers to some of the questions:- Registration/smog cert. valid til 4/28/2019.- Last engine oil change was performed at 241,400 miles.- The transmission was rebuilt once before - at 188,000 miles in 2014. A radiator was also replaced at the same time.The seats have genuine leather inserts, but the sides and backs of the seats are done in a leatherette.
