A 2011 convertible V-8 Trans Am clone! Simply does not exist elsewhere, but if it did, it would not be priced this low! This is a Clean Florida title, clean Carfax, Trans Am that began life as a Chevy Camaro 2ss v-8 convertible, and as far as we know, this is The only Trans Am convertible on the market ! Burt Reynolds may be gone, but his legacy and excitement live on stronger than ever folks! We have two of these in stock, this one is a 2011, the other is brand new but will cost much more of course! Pontiac did a version of this car which never made it in to production after filing bankruptcy, but that did not stop a few companies from taking some of those parts and creating a follow through production of a limited number of these cars using factory parts. What makes this one stand out is that it was manufactured as an SS Camaro convertible like some of those other ones, but , then a movie studio commissioned two body and prop specialists to alter the car using strictly original parts from a 1977 Trans Am blended to this car to be a futuristic version of what the Bandit would have driven in 2012 . As you can see, the fender inlets or “gilles”have been altered to blend in with the fenders, but these are original 1977, as well as the front bumper cover and hood scoop. They have been altered slightly to adhere to the body of a fifth generation Camaro just like the ill fated GM version in 2010, but better-THESE are original from a 1977 model! This was no small task as you can imagine, and took several craftsman nearly a year to accomplish. Finishing off the look is an Eibach suspension dropping the car 1 inch, a Trams am tail fin, rocker panels, custom firebird emblem on the custom interior, custom trademarked hood firebird decal. This is not the car built by the other Trans Am specialists in Florida. This car really does exist, is for sale, and there is no need for an order to be placed. Call it a retro-mod, a movie prop, whatever you want, but one thing is for certain, these cars simply do not exist anywhere and they are only going to significantly increase in value. For about the same price as a decked out camaro, you can drive a true exotic that literally snaps heads backwards and drops jaws everywhere it goes. If you want to drive an exotic , mind blowing, eye catching, attention getting (not to mention the coolest car EVER!) slice of American muscle car history that will only increase in value, then this is the car for you! We can NOT comment on the movie , in fact, we do not even know the name or the stars in this movie, and have had only limited contact with the studio managers in Clearwater Florida, but once it is sold, you will be owning a piece of history that simply will be a thrill to own regardless of any movie, because Burt himself set the standard already as far as a movie is concerned. In a true act of condolence, and respect for Burt, the movie studio is not profiting from the sale of this vehicle and will loose about 50% of their investment. The true retail value of this car will certainly exceed the asking price and will of course only continue to rise UNLIKE any other muscle car investments.
