For sale is a 1964 Mercury Comet Caliente that is in the restoration process and ready for someone to finish to their liking. I purchased this car with the intentions to finish it up and drive it but there at 2 other projects ahead of it and I need the room. The car is intact with everything needed to put it back together. Car was originally Anniversary Silver as decoded from the data plate. Previous owner decided to change the color to Red and honestly, he did a good job of refinishing the car. Underside is painted black and looks great. Interior is all redone and included. Complete brake system is new, all components. Fuel system is new, tank and lines.Engine is original 260ci V8 that does turn over and was running at the beginning of this project so I was told. Transmission is a C4 automatic also stock/original. Rear end, quarters & doors all sanded/polished with trim installed. Front fenders have been sanded and are going to be polished when I get a chance. I am still working on reassembling this car as I have time to. The photos of the fenders will show them in a dull state as like I said, they were sanded flat and need to be polished. Car is a roller at this point and can be moved around to work on. Car is also for sale/trade locally so this listing can be ended at any time to accommodate a local sale. Car is in a dry, sealed garage to protect it from being beaten by the weather. Feel free to inquire about anything I may have left out.
