Vehicle Detail

1973 Porsche 914 2.0L Fuel Injection, 5-speed. Original GA Engine. Repainted Current Color and put into storage about 10 years ago. Beautiful paint job. Originally L64K Zambezi Green. Runs and drives excellent. 5-Fuch Wheels. Battery relocated into trunk area. Mostly all new Interior (Houndstooth seat covers, New dash, new carpet...) Mostly all exterior rubber moldings have been replaced. All doors and hoods close properly. See pics....Mileage is inaccurate. Drives straight and very solid. Transmisison shifts very smoothly up and down in the gears. Video available if needed. 2.0L engine is very responsive, recent valve adjustment. Car is very smooth at 0-100. Have cut off switch at battery compartment. I have new sails if someone wants to install them on the exterior of the pillars. I also have a new lower chrome piece for the front windshield. New 2.0 Fuel Injectors. Electronic Ignition, Recent tuneup. Aftermarket AM/FM CD player. Tires have less than 500 miles on them, Goodyear Eagle HP 195/60R15. Odometer isn’t correct, unknown actual mileage. Video or more pics available if needed. Fly in and drive it home. Buyer to arrange any shipping cost. I purchased the vehicle from a relative, only selling due to an unexpected opportunity to upgrade to a 914-6. Clear Oregon Title/Registration. Insured through Hagerty Classic car Insurance (Runs about $160.00/year Full Coverge with restrictions.) Buyer will need to make arrangements for shipping if needed, I will assist in getting it ready. I have ordered a Certificate of Authenticity COA report to verify the engine is the original engine that came out with the car but it has been in the family for the past 10+years. The Engine #GA004301 falls within the 1973 2.0L production 0000001-0006765. I have no reason to believe that it isn’t the original engine for the car. It has the original D-Jet Fuel Injection Unit along with the 3-stud Intake Tubes to the head etc. The COA was ordered 09/04/18 from Porsche Cars North America, Inc., unfortunately it takes 3-4 weeks to receive the COA The longitudinal tubes are all solid and all 4 undercarriage lift spots are solid without rust. When the car was painted over 10 years ago they found some rust on the drivers side engine lid pivoting hinge where they removed and replaced with a new hinge. They also found rust in the usual place around the battery tray and beneath that area. They choose to remove the battery tray and support and relocate the battery to the trunk area to prevent anymore problems. At that time they cleaned up the rusted area beneath the battery tray and sealed it with rust preventive sealant. I just purchased a new Battery Tray and Support which goes with the sale of the car. The new owner can choose to install it or hang on to it. Where its at now, you can still place the top in the rear trunk area. I’ve always ran Castro’s GTX 20W-50 weight oil in it. The only oil leakage I’ve ever had was around the problem area of the Taco Plate (Temp Sensor housing). This uses a rubber rounded gasket and two bolts. But I think Ive that sealed. The Valves were adjusted about 100 miles ago. Several people have asked me if I feel the car would be safe to drive 1000 miles, I wouldn’t hesitate a minute to take off across country in the car. I’ve made 2 recent long distance trips in it without any problems. ** I have 8 videos of a walk a round and a look at the undercarriage on a lift and 2 driving the vehicle. You will need to send me your number and I will send them to you off my phone. Thank you I’ve been asked about a Buy It Now Price, if your serious about the car contact me and if we can reach an agreeable selling price we can close the deal, thank you. Thanks Active PCA member #2018100113. * VIN #4732918788* Engine #GA004301* Chassis #1449573* Build Date 04/73* Original Paint Color: L64K The plate under the hood on the passenger fender which reads VOLKSWAGENWERK AG MADE IN GERMANY has # 2918788 and 473 1220 650. Transmission # HA 1 11 2 which translates to 1st Nov 1972. ** Pre Purchase Inspection Completed 9/7/18 which showed Compression check Good with all cylinders between 90-95 psi. Everything else checked Brakes/fluids/lights/suspension etc. checked GOOD! The tires although they only have about 100 miles on them is dated 2002. Pics attached of PPI. Thank you On Sep-07-18 at 19:50:08 PDT, seller added the following information: You have a opportunity to purchase a Porsche 914 that will do nonthing but go up in value! If you saw it and drove it, you would buy it! If you can find a better original stock 914 for a better price, buy it! Good luck.
