Vehicle Detail

What an amazing opportunity to own a 1974 Mercedes 450 SE with NO RESERVE!! This car needs some work. I have been using this car as a weekend car to bring to the marina where I keep my boat for the last 5 years up to a couple weeks ago. It starts and runs for 6 minutes then stalls. Will not start back up for about 12 minutes and repeats. As soon as the engine temp hits 160 she shuts off. There is the is a dent above the fuel tank door the size of a quarter. The odometer has stopped turning and says around 133k. Also the clock does not work. I had the arm rest leather all redone and I broke the zipper trying to slip it back on. Everything else works including AC, Cruise control, power windows, and power antenna. The car is currently also being listed at a luxury auto import place for 10,500, that is what they valued it at. I have informed them that I may sell it on Ebay instead of paying them a tremendous amount of commission and they agreed. It has well over 25k invested in it over last 5 years. Car had an amazing paint job done about 4 years back. All seats we redone and repacked with fresh horse hair and new springs. Stainless steel pipes from headers back are all new. Rims were redone and professionally painted with an Austin Martin paint. Whole upper end of engine was redone 5 years ago and almost everything else new right after. Electronic ignition just replaced as well as wires and fuel injection seals 6 months ago. Michelin tires less than 1 year old. Battery, voltage regulator, fuel filter and fuel tank filter done last month. Coil, fuel pump, and wires 6 months old. Transmission flushed 13 months ago and shifts perfect. Nearly all suspension parts have been replaced. I also had the unattractive american style bumpers taken off and European version installed in place. Was very expensive but much classier looking. I would not of hesitated to take this car anywhere up till she started acting up a couple weeks ago. Car is very fast and tight. I have decided to move on from her. I am funding a cyrpto currency project so all vintage watches and antique cars must go. These cars are great investments and only going up in value. People always comment about her. Last week one sold at New York auction for 18k. I am giving the car away at this price. Serious inquires only. Q.Do you have the original radio?Aug-28, 2018A.Yes, I have the original Becker Radio tucked away. I do not recall if I ever had it reconditioned so may or may not work. I will also be including a spare throttle body, tps, alternator, fuel pressureQ.Can you tell me what condition the chrome is in? Any corrosion, pitting or flaking on the chrome? The USA bumpers were definitely not as attractive as the European one's which did not stick out nearlyAug-28, 2018A.The Chrome is in excellent condition with NO flaking or pitting. Polished up it would look mint. I detested the American style bumpers that stuck out way beyond the car. I spent over 3 grand on theOn Aug-29-18 at 07:23:57 PDT, seller added the following information: geole-56Have you had a mechanic look at car? Why are you selling her after all the money you have in to her? New message to: geole-56I have not had a mechanic look at it. I spent a total of 1 hour researching it on line myself. It seems to be some sort of sensor because the second it warms up it cuts out, it's exact and happens every time. There is a local luxury auto import place that added it to their directory for 10,500. They told me it could be many things. I have hardly pursued it and the reason I am selling it is to fund a deal that is much more important to me than the car. I must raise 300 grand to fund another deal. My watch collection, some properties and other cars are all going on the market before the weeks end. I am being very candid with you and hope you are serious buyer, if not please pass this opportunity by. These cars are not for everybody On Aug-30-18 at 13:31:51 PDT, seller added the following information: Any bidders with little or no positive feed back please reach out to me before bidding, thanks in advance!!
