Vehicle Detail

Up for auction is my 1992 Mercedes 300TE two-wheel drive Wagon. I’ve owned this car for the past 3 years as my daily driver and I’ve put about 30,000 miles on it. I bought this 300TE from the original owner’s estate in South West Florida (no snow or road salt!) it had just 78,000 original miles and it is now at 108,400. This car is in amazing condition for its age and looks like it could be just a few years old based on its condition. The engine bay pictures show just how detail oriented I am when servicing the car. I am not an automotive dealer or in the business of selling cars. I am a Mercedes enthusiast who enjoys these older Mercedes, and I maintain my cars above and beyond the expected level of service for an older luxury automobile. Everything on the car works as intended. AC is cold, heat is hot, all power windows work, sunroof works, cruise control works well, rear self-leveling suspension system works properly. The original Becker radio didn’t work so it has been replaced with a Pioneer blue tooth head unit, and much better Hertz brand speakers. The original Becker radio is included. The only thing that doesn’t work is the automatic antenna, which does not retract, and is in the up position. All books, owner’s manuals and records, the original tool kit, original first aid kit, and cross bars for roof rack are included. Interior: The light grey leather seats are in excellent condition. The driver’s seat shows some slight wear on side bolster and bottom. This car has the optional rear facing jump seats, so it can seat up to 7 adults. Carpet is original and in excellent condition, as are the original factory floor mats. Dash board is excellent. Zebrano dashboard wood is excellent; the center console wood has some minor stress cracks. Headliner is excellent. All gauges work properly and there are no warning lights on. Exterior: The original metallic blue paint is in amazingly good condition. The paint does not have crazing, fading, or clear coat problems. There are several minor door dings, a very small ding in the sunroof, some very light scratches on the hood, there is a scratch on the right rear bumper and a small ding below the right rear tail light. The front and rear bumper rub strips have minor dings. There are a couple of rock chips on the lower front valence. This car is rust free! Maintenance: Included with the sale is the original Mercedes Factory service book stamped by dealers through the 67,500-mile service. While I have owned the car, all recommended services have been performed and all fluids and filters have been changed per Mercedes service intervals, with Mercedes products. The only engine oil I have used is Mobil 1 full synthetic and I have always replaced the oil filter with a Mann (OEM type) filter. All original books and detailed maintenance records come with the car. Of interest, the original owner took delivery of the car at the Mercedes factory in Stuttgart! While I have owned the car, I have replaced or repaired many items including the following: expansion tank, radiator cap, radiator, thermostat, fan clutch, upper and lower radiator hoses, serpentine belt, belt tensioner, idler pulley, spark plugs and wires, cap, rotor, alternator, battery, rebuilt cruise control amplifier, motor and trans mounts, clean and test fuel injectors, fuel injection EHA, fuel accumulator and check valve, both drive shaft flex discs, MAS/ECU, oxygen sensor, valve cover gasket, blower fan, new Michelin tires (now with 20,000 miles), alignment, front lower control arms with new bushings and new ball joints, front struts and strut mounts, rear outer control arm bushings, front and rear rubber brake lines, transmission cooler hoses. The costs of performing this level of maintenance on an older Mercedes far exceeds the purchase price of the car, but this is how I insist on maintaining my Mercedes automobiles. This is a rare opportunity to own an extremely well-maintained classic Mercedes Wagon. Prices for vintage Mercedes Wagons are rising quickly with earlier examples selling in the high $20K to mid $30K range. This model is just starting to increase in value, so don’t miss a great opportunity to get a superior E Class Mercedes Wagon before the prices skyrocket! Contact: Call me if you have questions - 859-221-9965. Terms: No foreign buyers. Must have positive feedback & rating of at least 10; less than this and I will strike your bid. Sold “as is,” no warranty expressed or implied. Sold “where is,” buyer must arrange and pay all shipping expenses. I will assist with your shipper, but all shipping arrangements and cost of shipping are the sole responsibility of the Buyer. Buyer is responsible for all taxes, licenses & other fees. I strongly recommend your inspection of this car, at your expense, before auction ends. While in wonderful condition, please remember that this is a 26 year old car, which is imperfect, and is sold in “as-is” condition. Seller has no responsibility for damages, failure, or breakage after delivery to buyer or buyer’s shipper. Payment: $500 non-refundable deposit within 24 hours of auction end by PayPal. Balance due cash or bank transfer, U.S. dollars only, within 7 days of close of auction. I will not accept PayPal for balance due. Buyer must pay in full before delivery of car. Winning bidder must contact me within 48 hours of auction end for payment and pickup arrangements. Failure to contact me after auction end and pay as above will result in negative feedback, and I will either sell to the next highest bidder or relist at my discretion. This car is for sale locally, and I reserve the right to end the auction early, with or without bids in place. Please ask questions BEFORE bidding! Thanks for looking, and good luck on the auction!
