Vehicle Detail
This car is part of the Allen H. Dieringer estate collection. We (the family) have sold a dozen or so vehicles in the past few couple of months and have a few more to liquidate. Please visit www.dieringercollection.com to register for email updates as new listings become available and/or add me as a favorite seller. NOTE: We are NOT a motor vehicle dealer. This is a liquidation of an estate and our top priority is to get the highest price possible. We will not consider any trades, any cash offers outside of the ebay auction, nor can we assist with financing. If you have specific questions, I will do my best to get an answer, but due to the nature of this being an estate sale, full history and details of every vehicle may not be available to us. Please review my 20 year ebay rating and bid with confidence. If anything, I’ll be guilty of under describing these cars. All vehicles are located in Yoakum, TX and may be seen by appointment during the auction. Please view the vehicles in person or have a third party inspector view them BEFORE you bid. The vehicles you buy will be made available for easy pickup by your shipper. I will mostly answer emails in the evenings after work, so be patient. I will respond to everyone. V6, Automatic with 4WD. The body is great and the paint shows very well. The 4WD does work. The engine starts with starting fluid, and has a rough idle, but there is no smoke. The transmission shifts, but we have not driven it more than a mile or so. The tires are good and the top is in excellent condition. The upholstery is very nice and the dash is in good shape. There is NO glass in either door, but the mechanisms in both seem to be working properly. Someone has by-passed the key switch with a starter button mounted just below, under the dash, which works. NOTE: We've sold every vehicle listed so far, so bid knowing that the reserve is modest and we expect to sell the truck. Clear Texas title in hand. All sales are final and you will have 24 hours from end of the auction to send a $500, non-refundable deposit via PayPal, with balance to be paid in cash, in person, or by bank wire transfer at your expense within 7 days of auction end. You will have 30 days to pick up your purchase in Yoakum. Please message for potential alternate payment options. Bidders with eBay ratings below +10 are subject to removal without prior approval. There will be a modest reserve on all vehicles we list for sale, but we intend to sell, so bid early and often with confidence, but be sure to ask your wife first! Message me with further questions. Thank you and good luck!On Aug-09-18 at 07:56:40 PDT, seller added the following information: Normal 0 false false false EN-US X-NONE X-NONE NEW INFORMATION!! ----- I had a list of detailed questions from several bidders, so I went to the warehouse last night and was going to start the Jeep and check gauges, lights, etc. The battery was down, so I switched it out with a fresh one. I then heard the blower motor running, so I walked around and turned it off. By the time I returned to the front of the truck, the wiring going to and around the starter was smoking. I was able to extinguish it, but knowing that the starter wiring had already been by-passed, I would expect any buyer would need to plan for a new wiring harness. Please feel free to retract your bid if you feel this is a deal-breaker. I would certainly not blame you. If I can’t get in front of the bidding process and feel comfortable that all bidders moving forward have been notified and are ok with this new information, I’ll end the auction and re-list with a new description. If that happens, I’ll contact all bidders above the reserve of $3500 with the new listing number. ANSWERS TO QUESTIONS: 1. Rust? – Using a magnet, I determined there is a place the size of my hand on the driver’s rear quarter panel that has filler. With the paint being over 5 years old and showing no other signs of distress, I feel confident there are no other problem areas on the body. 2. Paint – Nice driver quality – There are tiny flaws, but you have to look for them. 3. Brakes – Drum all around 4. Pics of undercarriage – Use the link below to Google photos folder – I’ve added several pics 5. Top and back window – Excellent condition, including the back window. 6. Gauges, lights, etc. – Don’t know. I can’t test anything now that it won’t start. 7. Engine/trans – Again, I’ve started this truck maybe 5-6 times in the past 120 days. It always takes 3-4 shots of starter fluid, but it cranks and runs with no smoke, but it has a rough idle. Brakes work, transmission shifts. 8. Undercarriage – see pics with link below 9. Glass – There is NO glass in either door NOR in the rear window on the driver’s side. 10. Title – Again, clear Texas title in hand 11. For clarification, the truck is in Yoakum TX. Pickup will now require a winch as the truck will not start. https://photos.google.com/share/AF1QipN9TghqM_F6fjz1d3U0nXUsnulFzjaezZeaSbflXdEMy73Vchy4TflHB5wAVp8dmQ?key=WW5LUGZ6bC02b2FSTGE4bGQzQjFxaWo3bGdYMUZB
