Hello and welcome to this No Reserve Auction. Up for Auction is a 1999 Ford F250 Light Duty 4x4 truck with an 8 foot bed. This particular truck was a fleet serviced vehicle. PLEASE read carefully to all of the information that is disclosed below on this vehicle. PLEASE UNDERSTAND that I am not a certified mechanic, and all the information I disclose is of my own findings through general road tests, and occasional advice from local mechanics that I have look over the vehicles we have. EXTERIOR: I would rate the exterior of this particular truck to be in Average condition for the age of this truck. The body lines are straight with only small dents, dings, scratches that you would expect of a vehicle of this age. Tires are on the small size for the truck. Down here in Texas we like our trucks to have a little bit of meat on the rims versus smaller tires that will get better fuel milage like the ones mounted on this truck. However, these tires still have some life left on the tread. The tailgate handle is broken, a 20.00 part through ebay or local parts stores. Rims are 7 lug as are normal for a light duty 3/4 ton truck. Windshield has crack in it, but here in Texas it passes inspection so please refer to your states laws concerning this. INTERIOR:I would rate the interior of this truck to be in AVERAGE condition also. Let's be honest here, if your looking for a basic 3/4 ton truck for very little money, this fits that description perfectly. It has the basic interior package of an XL truck. Manual windows and locks, manual shift 4x4 which I personally like over the button kind. There is a seat cover on the seat. Rubber flooring instead of carpet for easy cleaning in my opinion. ROAD TEST:This truck fires right up, but does have a noticeable exhaust leak. Idiot check engine light is on for an O2 sensor, and after the local mechanic checked it, he states that the check engine light is on because of the exhaust leak. Mechanic also stated that the leak was coming from the donut, where the down pipe from exhaust manifold meets pipe going back. Out on the road the truck roars to life with the V8 still showing plenty of life under the hood. The automatic transmission shifts into all the gears properly and down the highway this trucks alignment is spot on. Suspension feels tight and the truck handles very well up to speed. I did notice the brake light on dash comes on and off occasionally, and the brakes feel sluggish. There was a leak in the brake lines that I had the mechanic fix for us, so not sure if the lines need to be bled or it's getting close to time for some new shoes on the truck. The heat blows hot, but the a.c. will need to be recharged. Radio works, windows roll up and down with no problems. Other than the exhaust leak, a.c. recharge, and checking on the brakes which may be nothing, all in all this truck is a good running truck with lots of life still ready to be had. I've seen these trucks go a long ways when taken care of, and this one shows it's had the care. There are no noticeable oil leaks under the truck, other than the brake lines which were fixed. There is no smoke, blow by on the engine. This truck is ready for work, ready for some off road adventure, or ready for whatever you want to throw at it. IF the item is not picked up within 14 days of Auction closing, you will be charged a day fee for storage of 50.00 per day.
