Vehicle Detail
Be advised - if you see this listing on CraigsList, it's a scam. I am not advertising this car for sale on CL. Before bidding, please take the time to read all the details of this listing. You won't find another Evora out there with the maintenance history of this car. If you're considering a Lotus, you know they come with certain maintenance expectations and this one has been well cared for and is in great working condition. It also has had all the 'right' modifications made without being overdone. Storm Titanium with Black Pack and Charcoal Leather Interior Packages & Options: Metallic PaintBlack Pack Sports Ratio GearboxReversing Camera (with parking distance sensors) Sport Pack: Switchable sports mode with enhanced throttle response, increased rev limit, sports diffuser, engine oil cooler, cross-drilled brake rotors, black painted calipersPremium Pack: Accent lighting, leather door trim, center arm rest, leather footwell side panels Tech Pack: Upgraded speakers and stereo system with subwoofer, CD/DVD player with 7" Touchscreen, Bluetooth phone connection, USB connection in glovebox, TPMS, Cruise Control Odometer: 17,350 (I don’t drive it much but miles will increase) Title: The car is owned by me. I have the title in-hand and there are no liens or banks to deal with, which will make the transaction very easy. I purchased it in 2014 with about 8,000 miles on the clock and it’s been garaged-kept and well cared for while I’ve owned it. Maintenance, modifications, etc. that I’ve done to the car: Mileage>> Part, Service, Modification 8,817 >> Brake / Clutch Fluid Change, Front Alignment 8,817 >> A-Pillars and trunk latch replaced (warranty) 8,850 >> New Shift Knob, Pollen Filter (MyLotusGarage) 9,130 >> Replaced all interior bulbs with LEDs 9,400 >> Hardwired for Radar Detector 9,650 >> Oil Change (Rotella T6) 9,665 >> Air Filter Replaced 9,738 >> Transmission Fluid Changed 9,804 >> New Tires – Michelin Pilot Super Sports 9,804 >> Larini Exhaust – Sector 111 10,220>> Retractable side view mirror modification 10,438 >> Windshield Gutter replaced under warranty 10,780>> DTRL Modification 11,012 >> Wheels sandblasted and powder coated 11,298 >> Steering wheel spacer replaced under warranty 12,625 >> Replaced Trunk Struts 12,730 >> Larini Test Pipe (Cat Delete) – Sector 111 12,730 >> Put heat wrap on clutch line (known issue) 12,876 >> BOE Cold Air Intake 13,989 >> Replaced front anti-sway bar bushings 14,795 >> Oil Change (Rotella T6) 14,795 >> Rotated Tires 14,795 >> Replaced front Brake Pads (Ferodo D2500) 17,053 >> Replaced Pollen Filter 17,053 >> Flushed Brake & Clutch Fluid (Motul 660) Along with the maintenance I’ve done, and had done, and the modifications I’ve made, I also confirmed with Lotus USA that the shift cables were replaced with the later / improved version prior to my purchasing the car. I suspected this after driving another 2011 Evora and noticed how much nicer mine shifted and how the other car had problems going back into first gear. I then got confirmation from Lotus that my car has the upgraded shift cables. The driver’s window regulator was also replaced by the previous owner under warranty as confirmed with Lotus USA. These are two fairly significant issues that the next owner won’t have to worry about. The picture of the liquid in the cup is the used brake fluid that came out when I recently changed the hydraulic fluid. As you may know, there can be issues with the clutch master cylinder on these cars and a primary cause is not changing the fluid. Others who've had such problems have said that their used fluid came out looking like Coke or coffee. As you can see in the last picture, mine did not and it now has new, flesh fluid (Motul 660) for the next owner. If you're considering another Evora, this is definitely something to ask about as you could have a major, expensive repair job on your hands. Based on the VIN, this car has the metal master cylinder, which has shown to be less problematic than the plastic one Lotus started using later in the 2011 model year. The clutch pedal has always been strong and solid. The picture of the air bag cover shows that it is not creeping up as is the case with some Evoras. It's nice and flush with the dash. I've also included a shot of a 1.5" scratch on the passenger side rocker panel just before the wheel. I think I caught a stick that got wedged along the side of my driveway. Other items to note:I have the manual and both key fobs. The tires are rated for 30K miles and have less than 8,000 miles on them (and I drive somewhat conservatively).AC blows nice and cold Car will come with some spare parts, including an extra trunk latch assembly, which is known to be problematic and difficult to source. The original air box, original exhaust and 3rd cat can be included if they buyer wants themIncludes a set of Lloyd’s floor mats in the front.Comes with two of the Miata style cup holders up front that fit nicely with the floor matsA custom-fit CoverCraft sunscreen is includedNot that I use the stereo much, but the subwoofer works fine, which I know has been a problem for some.I have the Certificate of Vehicle Provenance from Lotus, which I’ll be happy to share so you can verify that the car is as-advertised and has all the options noted above. The previous owner had the paint protection removed. I purchased the 3M Scotch Gard film for the front bumper and hood, but never got around to having it put on. That’ll be included, if you want it.Deltran battery tender will be includedI can also share all the receipts I have for parts purchased and maintenance done on the car (by someone other than me). I’ve done all the right modifications and maintenance to this car and it really doesn’t need anything. Any of the known niggles that have come up have been taken care of. It’s been a great car while I’ve had it and has given me no problems and should be a reliable and enjoyable car for a long time. Good luck bidding and feel free to hit me up with any questions.
