1971 401 Javelin SST (360 conversion) Rust free California car purchased in Los Angeles in 1996.With the vintage decals and the paint as-is, this car has a certain feel and patina you just can’t re-create. Car sits beautifully on rebuilt leaf springs/bushings, among other things.... This car needs restoration, but someone should think twice before they change the exterior. Clean California non-op title with original blue and yellow plates.Car is not running (more details below). When I bought it, it had a built motor (headers, cam, manifold, etc.), but bent push rods and broken rings. The motor was running and putting out HP, but smoked when vacuum applied to cylinders.I had the motor rebuilt at a performance shop and installed a 2”-3” dual exhaust with Walker-Super-Turbos. Already came with….. Holley 4BEdelbrock ManifoldCompetition CamHeadman HeadersHeads slightly milledKYB’s Engine is pure Big Block, producing 350-400 horsepower and big block of torque. Incredible exhaust note with the Headman and 3" rear pipes. I'll be improving this add with more info and photos by EOD Monday.The lower end is solid and 150psi on all cylinders (see video link that will post by EOD Monday. Fires right up and tranny is AOK, but cam has a single flat lobe. Overall, car is in need of a mechanical go-thru. AC removed, and I have it and some other original parts and other goodies.If the reserve is not met and work is done on the car, the reserve will be increased. If the reserve is not met, I have the option to sell this car locally.
