I purchased the Miata in Summer 2014 from an elderly gentleman who owned the car since 2001. The car had approximately 55,000 miles at the time and was completely stock, except for the Enkei wheels and Pioneer stereo. Since then, I have done the following work to rejuvenate the car:Had EGR valve cleaned at R Speed in Atlanta to clear check engine lightNew Sumitomo HTR A/S P02 ultra high performance all season tires (10,000 miles on tires)New custom vinyl seat covers (has custom leather seats underneath in fair/poor condition)New factory floor matsNew instrument panel lensNew fuse coverNew spare tire cover and insulator for trunk60,000 mile service (Royal Purple full synthetic oil, Purolator fuel filter, NGK spark plugs, NGK premium plug wires, Red Line differential oil for rear diff, Red Line transmission fluid, coolant flush with Zerex Asian, Purolator Air Filter)Replaced accessory beltOil change at 63,774 miles with Royal Purple and Purolator oil filter Mechanically, I would rate the car 9/10. It has no known issues to address and drives beautifully. The manual transmission and clutch are sublime. The A/C blows cold. Aftermarket stereo is loud enough to enjoy with the top down. Aesthetically, I would rate it 7/10. The paint looks good from a short distance, but has a number of hard water spots and a couple of dings. The soft-top is on its last leg with a couple of small tears but it doesn't leak in my experience. If I was keeping the car, I would replace it soon. I have loved the Miata, but I have four cars now and need to simplify my life. It's time for it to bring joy to someone else.
