Vehicle Detail
This is a V6 2002 Chevy Camaro. This car was purchased in 2009 with only one previous owner at around 70k miles. It currently has 104k miles and has never been in an accident. I have put a lot of money into this car in the past three years, easily over $4,000 (can provide proof of repairs). I have had the back axles and the radiator replaced last year, new tires put on last summer, the oil screen suction unit replaced five months ago, the oil sending unit, and a number of other repairs. All the parts put in were new. The engine needs work. The car itself is still very much drivable for the time being as I have been using it to get around town for the past six months since the problems started. Please message if you'd like to know exact details on how the car operates. The car has had oil pressure issues the past 6 months and I have partially resolved it with Lucas Oil Stabilizer. Just last week I observed that some water mixed in with the oil on the dipstick. The car still drives fine and I still use it to go to the store, but this is a serious issue. I was able to make a 300 mile drive back in January without any problems and I haven't driven the car much since then either. My mechanic thinks the cylinder head is cracked but has has also stated that changing the oil and adding Blue Devil head gasket sealant or Moreoso Ceramic sealer might be able to seal the head gasket, at least for the time being. There's also a tiny leak in the power steering fluid line but I only need to replace the fluid once every two months or so, for $6 of new fluid. I hear here Lucas makes power steering sealant but I have yet to try it. If you are in the Gainesville area I am more than happy to schedule a meet-up to see the car. Please contact me for such an arrangement to be made. I'd imagine this would most likely be for someone's project car or they would scrap it for its parts which are in demand. I don't have the tools necessary at my apartment to scrap the car for parts or do any significant repairs. Many of the parts are brand new, and as I said previously I can provide the receipts of when they were purchased. I have been using this car to get around town a few times a week for the past 7 years and have put relatively little mileage on it as I do not drive to work. The transmission, brakes, and everything else work perfectly. Cosmetics are in fairly good condition. Seat upholstery is torn in driver seat but intact everywhere else. Dashboard plastic is cracked. The paint in the back of the car is peeling but can easily be fixed. Both sun visors have fallen off. I can provide video or photos of anything else you may be interested in. Offer is for car as is. Car does not come with a tag.
