Vehicle Detail
This three wheeler is located in Poy Sippi, WI. You or your shipper can pick it up here. Sometime in the next month or two, I will be driving to Colorado Springs, CO. I am not yet sure of the exact timing of my trip - if you are in a hurry, plan on shipping the ATC or picking it up yourself. I can vary my route within reason, along I-70, I-80, or I-90. If you can meet me near the interstate, on my time schedule, I will deliver the ATC to you for $200. This should be substantially cheaper than most shipping options. I will expect the machine to be paid for in full in accordance with my “terms of sale” paragraph below. If you have any questions about this or intend to have me deliver the ATC, please get in touch with me BEFORE placing your bid. Thank you! Here is a 1986 Honda Big Red ATC in very nice original condition - these are the original tires, seat, and plastics, all in great shape! 250cc 4 stroke engine, electric start (with kick starter backup), 5 speed transmission, reverse, and shaft drive. It has a large toolbox under the rear rack, a removable headlight with extension cord to be used as a portable worklight, and a factory 12 volt power outlet. It has always been stored indoors and starts, runs, and rides exactly like when it was new! Other than the Hondaline accessory “headlight lens grille” and a set of nerf bars / foot protectors, this ATC is completely stock with no modifications. I took these photos on 6-28-18, they are unedited and the ATC is how you see it in the pictures. The machine was simply washed and allowed to dry before the photos were taken - there were no "spit-shine" sprays applied (to the tires or anywhere else) to make it look better than it really is. I am the second owner, and this Big Red was used lightly by the original owner for ice-fishing duties. It has not been ridden for recreational or farm use, nor has it been ridden by children. Starts easily, idles smoothly, runs perfectly (it's a Honda!). No smoke or funny noises. Shifts nicely, rides nicely, etc. Looks pretty darn good, too. Absolutely no rust in the fuel tank, just clean shiny metal. The carburetor is clean and responsive, has never seen ethanol fuel. Original exhaust is 100% intact, unmolested, and quiet (no rust). All original Ohtsu tires are in great condition - good tread, no dry rot or weather-checking. There are NO LEAKS - the engine doesn't leak, the forks don't leak, no fuel leaks, axle leaks, etc. Everything works! All of the indicator lights, headlight, taillights, etc work exactly as they did when the bike was new. Same with the parking brake, reverse engagement, choke engagement, etc. Overall this is just a very nice example of Honda's infamous Big Red. There are a few flaws on the fuel tank that need to be mentioned: the left side has a small dent near the front and an area of peeled paint near the seat. The right side has a small area of touched-up paint near the bottom rear and an area of peeled paint near the seat. These areas are clearly shown in my photos. Included with the ATC are the following items: original owner's manual, factory key, and the factory tool kit. The state of Wisconsin does not title ATVs. If you have any questions, please ask them prior to placing your bid. If you are local, or know someone who is, please consider coming to see the ATV in person. Different things are important to different people, and while I have tried to describe all important aspects of the three wheeler, it's impossible to cover every little detail. I reserve the right to end the auction early for any reason. If you're serious about purchasing, please get in touch with me. Thanks for looking! Terms of sale Buyer will be responsible for either having the 3 wheeler shipped, or picking it up in person (or see the first paragraph about my upcoming trip and delivery option). I will sell to US buyers only! I expect a $500 deposit via Paypal within 24 hours of the end of auction. Payment in full is due within 5 days of the end of auction, no exceptions. I will accept cash or cashier's check for balance of payment. If picking up the ATC in person within the 5 days, I will require the balance due in cash at that time. Please only bid if you are willing to honor it! I know this doesn't need to be explained to most of you, but with all the new users something has to be said. Ebay is not a game, it costs money to list things here, please don't waste my time and money. Thank you!
