Vehicle Detail
I am offering this wonderful little Plymouth Scamp. She is very solid and very rust free with some very minor surface rust in the right side of the trunk pan. No rust through, just surface rust. The floors, the rest of the trunk, quarters and frame rails are excellent. From the factory, it had a white vinyl top but the previous owner had it removed when it was painted. I do have the vinyl top "chrome" trim and, of course, they come with the car. The paint has a great shine and, overall, a decent paint job. I would categorize it as nice driver quality. The interior is in very good condition. The dash pad has been replaced with a cap. No tears in the headliner nor seats. Either the front bench seat or the rear seat have been replaced as they are a slightly different pattern but are the same color blue. The carpets are new and all gauges work. All lights and turn signals work. The slant six starts every time with no issues and runs great. The heater hoses are there and hooked up but, the heater puts out little or no heat. Other than that, and to the best of my knowledge, I don't see anything else on the car which does not work. The previous owner kept very good care and maintained her very well as it was his daily driver. I bought the car from the San Diego area and was told the car has spent its entire life there. The tires are near new, if not new. The transmission has a little leak but I have not checked into it. I purchased the car about two years ago to build a retro-restoration using the Gen III Hemi 6.4 I have, which is not included, but "life" has gotten in the way and appears that will not now happen. Since I purchased the car, it has been garaged kept as well as started regularly to keep everything well-oiled and in good condition. Odometer reads 48,500 but it is not verified to be original. I have tried to describe my Scamp as clearly and completely as possible but, if I have not covered something of interest to you, please do not hesitate to contact me. I want to do everything within my knowledge and ability so you know what you are getting before you buy. A $500 deposit is due within 48 hours of winning bid. The car is for sale locally and I do reserve the right to end the auction early. Buyer is responsible for all shipping arrangements. Thank you and Happy Bidding!
