2005 BMW F-Series 2005 BMW F650 CS VIN WB10187A75ZM50271 36,211 miles This is the best commuting bike ever. Relatively light and low center of gravity, zippy with belt drive and smooth 5-speed tranny. It is very easy to ride and makes you smile. It's the most fun you can have on your commute. Ride it every day and never be bored. Solid stable feel, good even in the inevitable rain. ABS. Seat is low to the ground yet rider still has visibility over the cars. I'm 5'4" and easily have both feet flat on the ground stopped in traffic. While light, it holds its own on the highway - doesn't feel like riding a paper clip. If you haven't had the pleasure of riding one of these before buying do not worry. If you turn out to be one of the few who don't like it you can easily sell it on to someone who will love it. I do know one guy who tried my bike and didn't feel comfortable on it as he was 6'4". One cylinder sips at the gas. My commute is mostly country roads until city limits and I regularly get gas mileage in the low 60s mpg. We know the gas mileage is very sensitive to the weight of the rider. I'm 130 lbs. This bike has the BMW electrical "portlet" which I use to keep it on a battery tender when parked inside and for powering heated gloves and heated vest spring/fall. Forget about the hassle of cables to your battery every time you need to store the bike. Just plug the tender into the portlet next to the ignition key. Ready to ride! You can ride it home. Maintained by BMW motorcycle dealer in SE Michigan. 36,000 mile service was at 34,810 miles. Battery upgraded at 34,443 miles (MotoBatt MB12U, AGM sealed 160 CCA, 15 AH). Tires new at 30,325 miles. The tires are Michelin Pilot Road 3 and were recommended by the dealer for my commute. These are awesome tires nicely handling dirt, poor pavement, corners and curves, and highway. Only known issues: 1. Right grip won't heat - I messed it up with a palm rest on the throttle. Didn't get it repaired because I ride spring/fall with heated gloves. 2. Disconnected horn Comes with:1. IMO the best cover for this bike that money can buy, Nelson Rigg Defender 3000 in silver/light gray, tailored especially for this bike with a soft insert where it touches the windshield and generous vents. In perfect condition because when it was on the bike it was always parked inside. Includes a cloth packing bag and original box. 2. BMW OEM soft bag with map cover for the compartment in front of the rider. This came with the bike and has seen alot of weather so its faded and the map compartment cover isn't all that clear. I stopped using it years ago, but you may find it handy. 3. BMW Rider's Manual for F650 CS mint condition 4. Two CDs with repair and service manuals 5. Original tool kit is still under the seat. I may never have even opened it the bike is so reliable. The OEM seat was changed to Sargent before I bought the bike. Previous owner felt strongly that BMW was not capable of making a comfortable seat. I think the seat could fit better, but its never been a problem and it certainly is comfortable. I will not accept any kind of check because even cashiers checks take a couple weeks to clear. I'm sorry this has to go. Sold as is, where is - so please inspect photos closely. Oops, I see I left a couple of cloth ties on the rear (running plate to rack) for the pictures. Those ties do not come with it. You arrange pick up or shipping. Michigan title in both names, full rights to survivor, death certificate attached. This will not be a problem for you but I'm including it here so you can check with your state.
