Thank you for taking a look at my 1980 VW Westfalia. This has been my project for the last 8 years. I have loved working on this van since it has such potential, but unfortunately I must let it go. This van has NO RESERVE! This van is a project for sure. The body is in pretty rough shape and will need a good bit of repair to bring it back to show quality. As for the motor, I have been working to rebuild it for the last two years very gradually as the funds became available and was very close to getting it back into the van. I had to stop due to a possible compression issue. I am not positive if it has a compression issue or not, but I am simply out of time and resources to pursue it any further. As you can see in one of the pictures, I have one of the heads off, but other than that the long block is almost complete. however, you may want to tear it all down yourself and go back through it to make sure it is up to your standards before installing it back into the van. To the best of my knowledge the van will be coming with all the parts, including the rear bumper that is not seen in the photos. I also have all the parts, including the motor packed in the van somewhat organized. Here is a list of all the things I have done over the years, but should be looked over again. -rebuilt front calipers (8 years ago)-new brake master cylinder (8 years ago)-used bosh fuel pump (worked before I tore the engine down)-New pistons and cylinders-new main bearings-new cam bearings-new cam shaft-new hydraulic lifters-new exhaust valves-new valve springs and keeper-heads cleaned and leak tested-converted distributor over to electronic ignition All of the engine work is very recent, but again I do not guarantee my work on this engine, it should be looked over very well by someone who knows what they are doing to verify what work it might need. A couple of disclaimers. This van does not run, it is sold AS IS. I have described it to the best of my ability and have included all of the parts that I have for it as seen in the photos.
