My Mom passed away last year and I am selling her car. 91 years old and she was still driving. She didn't drive it too much lately but she was still perky so it was out a few times a week for sure. I know she drove it to church every Sunday. She lived in Wadsworth so the recent miles on the car are all in town but when she first got the car she was back and forth to Akron a lot so the car has a nice mix of highway and in-town miles. She NEVER took it any place except Dave Towell for service. She bought it new from Dave Towell and she would never agree to take it any place else. It had all the scheduled oil changes and maintenance that it was supposed to have. I even found receipts for the manufacturer recommended transmission, radiator and brakes flushes. Dave Towell always sent out post cards for the manufacturer's recommended maintenance intervals and Mom went for every one. ;) Fully maintained according to manufacturer's specifications for sure. I have the original sticker and some of the original paperwork but it doesn't look like she kept the paperwork from every single service call and/or oil change. However, like I said, it never went any place except Dave Towell so you could probably get a complete service history from them. The car is in pretty awesome condition but it does have some issues that need repaired. As far as I know, this is a list of everything that's wrong with it: It needs shocks all around. Unless you like riding on Flipper's back, you'll want new shocks. If you have ever driven a big heavy car like this with bad shocks, you know it's like riding Flipper. LOL The driver's window and the front passenger's power windows don't work properly. The motors and switches are fine. The cable that pulls the window up and down is broken. I have them locked into closed position. Both rear windows work fine. I just had new brakes and rotors put on the back but it needs front brakes. The "Check Engine Soon" light is on. It actually came on before she died and then it went off again. Oddly enough, it went off just at the time when it needed e-checked. So, it passed the e-check just fine but then, the light came on again a few months ago. I'm not sure what it is as I have not had it checked yet. As far as I know that's a complete list of what's wrong. I have been driving it off and on since she passed and it seems to run great. Here's the good news.... I just had a brand new battery installed and an oil change so this baby starts right up like a brand new car. Also, brand new tires. Top of the line Goodyear Assurance Comfortread tires with about 5000 miles on them. I had new rear disc brakes and rotors installed. I had it done at the Goodyear store. I'm not sure if they have a lifetime warranty that transfers with the car. The body and the interior are pretty much in tip top condition. There are some scratches and dings as you would expect on this age car but no "granny dents" or other serious damage. She kept it in a nice spacious 2 car garage since it was new. I don't believe I ever saw anyone ride in the back. If you have any questions, please feel free to send me a message. I am located in West Akron near the Merriman Valley.
