Shown above is a single owner motorcycle in excellent condition. This bike was purchased new off the showroom floor in 1997 and currently has 12,XXX original miles. It has never been dropped, always stored inside, and is very well maintained. Routine and yearly maintenance is performed, fluids are regularly changed as well as any worn components. As with any used item there are wear marks and visual blemishes. Originally 1074cc the engine displacement is now 1117cc with a compression ratio of 12:1. Camshafts were installed from a newer model year, to improve the valve timing along with a +4° ignition advance. The air box has been removed and pod filters installed on each carburetor along with a Factory Pro tuning kit, and Yoshimura exhaust to improve responsiveness. The Yoshimura full race exhaust allows the engine to breath more efficiently and also trimmed a significant amount of weight. The Dymag three spoke magnesium wheels and JMC swing arm further lightened the motorcycle and did so by lowering the unsprung weight, improving overall handling and suspension performance. Suspension upgrades include Race Tech “gold valve” kits front and rear with stiffer springs in the inverted front forks. With the reduced road weight and increased engine performance the motorcycle is very quick off the line. The acceleration was improved by adjusting the gear ratio. One tooth smaller front sprocket and three tooth larger rear sprocket were installed to achieve a 3.21 gear ratio (2.8 factory). These changes, building off the increased HP and torque cap the top speed around 145 mph, but with the majority of this occurring in the first ¼ mile. The bike has never been raced or been on the track. The only thing it needs is a good home and proper cleaning after being mostly in storage the last few years. In addition to the equipment below all of the original parts still in my possession, are available for pick-up with purchase of the motorcycle. We will also include front and rear bike stands and a set of Keihin 39mm FCR carbs with velocity stacks. We purchased these carbs used and have done nothing with them. However, if installed and properly tuned they will make the bike more of a monster than it already is.
