Vehicle Detail
1970 Honda Sl350 - This bike is a true suvivor. It was all original and complete when I found it in Florance, Ky. Near Cincinnati OH. This bike is the first production KO series of the sl350 ( very hard to find complete ) vin. Plate say,s 1/70. All numbers match. I have the ky title in hand. I bought the bike winter of 16 and completely went through the bike to make it safe to ride The motor free and turned over with great compression when I found it. So I replaced the fork seals the chain, new battery, cables. Had the tank coated by a profesional, I replaced the seat with the original but reproduction seat ( can,t tell the diference ) I put on Avon Streetmaster tires new. ( I only ride the bike on the street ) and then this past winter I replaced the Original Klein,s with 30 mm Mikuni carburetor,s. Made a lot of difference with a full range of power it did not seem to have before. It was worth doing! The bike is now very strong and quick. The frame, side covers, tank and fenders have been left to the original patina. The frame is solid the fenders are good and straight. The mufflers are in great shape no dents or rust. Just some scratches. The front fender has some scratches. The paint on the frame has a lot of scratches. There is surface rust on the chrome parts. Handlebars. mirrors, rear springs, tail light bracket ex. All to be exspected for a 48 year old bike. The gas tank has one small dent about the size of my thumb on the left side near the front ( see pic detail ) and some odd discoloring that look like scratches but are not on the right side of the tank. It also has some seat wear right where the tank meets the seat not much Now the starter stopped working after it came out of winter storage. I haven,t fixed it because the bike is easy to just kick start. In fact Honda did away with the starter the very next year. Making this the only year this bike had a starter. Also the head light went out just last fall. I just haven,t replaced it yet. I thought I would leave something for the new owner to fix - right ! I have done a lot to bring this bike back to a safe and solid condition. I have all the original parts that I replaced. Seat, carburetors even an extra handlebar wth controls and cables I think I even have the original air boxes. If you have done one of these projects you know what I mean. Ask any question it might be best to just call me for ques tions at 502-650-0376 my name is Guy .I,ll get back as quick as I can. If you are plannig to have the bike picked up I will be happy to meet with you or a truck. I Will Not Crate this for You. Shipping Will Be Arranged By You
