Vehicle Detail

This is an excellent example of a vintage style Hot Rod, unfortunately I need to sell it to downsize my collection due to upcoming retirement. This is a California car that I bought about 4 years ago and brought it with me to the St Louis area when I moved 2 years ago. Body/interior: The cab is from a 30-31 Model A pickup and is original ford steel. VIN on the frame is 1928 and is titled as such. It was originally a hardtop but was cut down as a roadster. Door handles were shaved, doors shut solid with no issues. As part of the raw vintage Hot Rod appearance, weld seams are visible and were only smoothed out prior to painting. Paint is really nice and is automotive grade semi-gloss black. Custom hand painted pinstripe art was applied to the top cowl and tailgate, very tastefully. The bed is an aftermarket reproduction steel unit with an original ford tail gate. Grille shell is original ford. Interior is full custom with black vinyl tuck and roll with white piping. Door panels, kick panels, seats, and rear bed cover all match. The dash is out of a 1938ish Buick and has vintage Stewart Warner gauges. The Buick speedometer is in great shape but is not currently hooked up, could be easily connected with the right cable. Custom wiring harness with modern fuse box under dash. Car DOES NOT have turn signals however, I will include a brand new turn signal switch and a brand new pair of Guide 682-C headlights with turn signals. I just didnt have time to install the new headlights and turn signals. Car does not currently have seat belts but they could be easily installed. Chassis/suspension: Chassis is full custom and is very sturdily built. Front suspension is primarily 1940 Ford, has vintage finned aluminum Buick brakes. Rear end is an 8" Ford with drum brakes. New Coker Whitewall tires all the way around, rears are a little wider than fronts. Rides like a Model A hot rod should, stops and steers very well. Engine/transmission: Engine is a 1955 272 CID Ford Y-Block and has been rebuilt. Equipped with a vintage Weiand FM433 intake that was polished many, many years ago. No stripped threads or crack in intake, rare! Carbs are Ford 94's that were recently rebuilt using the correct Daytona carb kits with leather seals. Carbs are rigged progressive and sound great when opened up. Moon fuel block with Moon fuel pressure gauge and clear red fuel tubes. Transmission is a 1955 Ford (Borg Warner) 2-speed aircooled automatic with aftermarket Gennie shifter. Transmission has developed a small leak at the front pump seal, not hard to fix on this car just haven't had time. Engine and trans stay very cool, radiator was refurbed during build. Has a Powermaster alternator that is built to look just like a generator, kinda cool. My loss is definitely your gain! This is just a good solid example of a vintage, raw and in your face hot rod from California. Message with any questions. There is a bank lien on the title so that would need to be cleared at time of purchase, my bank is pretty quick with releasing titles. I cannot transport the car myself but I can absolutely assist the buyer with getting it shipped. Thanks!
