1971 Honda CT

Salvage

1971 Honda CT70. Starts, runs and idles good, 3-speed shift with auto clutch, new tire. Battery might be original, (has Honda wing label on side of battery), so it doesn't take or hold a charge. Lights work but voltage goes up when engine rpm goes up so bulbs will burn out if turned on with higher engine rpm. I'm assuming a new battery will take care of this issue. The high/low beam switch is a little sensitive and the speedometer doesn't always read the correct speed, (needle will move around some while driving a steady speed). Chrome has some pitting and there is some surface rust on the body by the key switch and on the other side where the harness comes out of the frame. Mostly original condition, new seat cover and wheels repainted. No oil leaks, runs, rides and shifts like it should. No title. No choice for "no title", but just to clarify, like I mentioned in the description, no title. I will gladly do a bill of sale to winning bidder if that helps.On Jun-09-18 at 11:34:14 PDT, seller added the following information: I decided to take a look at the speedometer because it didn't bounce around before. I found that I didn't get the speedo gear tabs in the front hub lined up correctly into the notches of the wheel assembly when I put the new tire and tube on. I now have it together right and the speedometer works perfect again.
