We recently acquired this L79 Corvette Coupe for the son of the original owner. The car was ordered and sold new at Berglund Chevrolet in Jamestown, New York and spent its first 30 plus years of its life staying in the Jamestown area until the son relocated to North Carolina where we purchased the car.Ordered new as an L79 327-350 Horse backed with a 4-speed and a 3:36 Posi rear. The car was originally coded 988 Marlboro Maroon with Black interior, AM-FM radio, red stripe tires and factory side exhaust mounted exhaust. The car was repainted about 20 years ago with a color change to Tuxedo Black. The paint quality is outstanding with virtually no defects or failures appearing as if it was painted much more recently. The body appears to be damage free with no known previous collision repair. Fit and finish of all panels are excellent. Hidden headlamps rotate properly and still have all 4 T-3 Headlamps in place.Interior is mostly original with exception of seat cover replaced with Al Knoch reproductions upgraded to leather from the original vinyl. Door panels were also replaced. We recently did install a new Knock Headliner. All gauges work properly and the original radio was just serviced and now operates properly.The engine is a proper 1967 327 casting number 3892657 with all the correct L79 Componentry but not the factory original block, replaced long ago for some reason we do not know. The car runs and drives great as all other mechanicals are in good working order. New radial redline tires were just fitted. A full service and front end alignment were just completed and the car already has stainless steel brakes installed. This is an actual Factory installed. This is an actual FACTORY installed side exhaust car, not a conversion. Expect the car to run, drive and perform well and you will not be disappointed. The frame and chassis components of this car are rust-free and structurally sound. All 5 correct Rally wheels are intact.This is a stunning car with show quality paint and trim and the right equipment. It can be driven and enjoyed just as it sits today. cars like this at an affordable number are getting very hard to find and a 1967 Corvette L-79 Coupe is about as good as it gets. We have priced this car correctly for what it is, a Hi-Quality driver but not a fully restored show car. Look over our pictures call on us with any questions or come to Erie, PA for a look.
