As we enter the retirement chapter of our lives, we offer from our private Arizona collection, recently completed (less than 300 driven miles) a no expense spared high quality frame off restoration. An incredible 1940 Ford coupe which has been built like the true iconic hotrod of its era. All suspension updated, including Chassis Engineering shock conversion. Posey superslide springs. Bell 4" dropped axle. A perfect stance! Brand new wide whites on original Ford artillery wheels. The engine is the desireable 8BA Ford Factory 1953 Mercury flathead. This motor has actually been rebuilt by the Ford Motor Co. with a tag on the motor to prove it. Offenhauser aluminum heads and intake with dual 97 Stromberg carburetors. Electric fuel pump. Coated exhaust is from Reds Headers and surely resonates like a great flathead should. The gorgeous original style Lebarron Bonney interior was just installed. All brand new electrical. All new brakes and lines. New glass and window gaskets. New 12 Volt Powermaster Gen alternator. Totally rebuilt drive train (3 speed manual) and brakes. Original 1940 style quality aluminum radiator with a custom shroud and an electric fan. Air deflector. Louvered inner fenders. This dependable Ford coupe runs at 185* here in Arizona. Derale fan wiring harness. A new high tec radio uniquely hidden in the sidewall of the glove box. Electric wipers. All new SW gauges.
